I find it mildly ironic that Anna Ivey, former Dean of Admissions at UChicago, strongly recommends updating applications for major events such as new positions, grades, etc. In fact, she implies that this is required (--LinkRemoved-- , go down to Dec. 16 [edited to add date reference]). Yet her old school, UChi, is apparently the only one that does not allow updates to pending apps. Just sayin'. It's not like I have a real shot at Chicago, but still... good news wants to be shared.

Maybe the new dean wanted to do things differently?mr_toad wrote:I find it mildly ironic that Anna Ivey, former Dean of Admissions at UChicago, strongly recommends updating applications for major events such as new positions, grades, etc. In fact, she implies that this is required (--LinkRemoved-- , go down to Dec. 16 [edited to add date reference]). Still sitting at "application complete" 12/7.
Edit: This was my 300th post. Probably should have done something cooler with it.

12/17. Anyone want to collect these? I remember Knock, oxford_don, seancooksey07, 123xalady (best username/tar combo ever, by the way), jpk5372, and zworykin are in the 12/17 pile.

I'm really, really upset. I got an (edit) LSAT and got dinged from Chicago ED. I thought I had a chance.
Kidding, kidding
I did apply ED though haha. I suppose I might have to take my talents to South Beach (get it?)
Congrats to you all. And when you're in the courtroom .. they don't ask for your LSAT score or the school you graduated from. Watch out. It's ON!

I'm 12/13! Ahhh!
Also, from my thread (sorry for people who constantly see me posting this link!), UChicago seems pretty predictable. I didn't compile info for the earliest apps (September), but it seems to be correlated with your submission date. Not that that means we should stop freaking out about UR dates, because that is always fun!

Yeah the only meaning of the dates is it tells you they've looked at your app on that day - possibly putting it into one of a few piles. Which of those piles you got put in though...
