Re: Who'd you hear from? - Post-December LSAT Applicants
I got a letter in the mail yesterday from UC telling me that I was waitlisted.
Today I get a phone call from UTK letting me know I got in! I don't care if I get in anywhere else! I am so pumped right now!!!

Complete at Stanford today, anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back from them about a decision after going complete?

Do rejections take longer, too?

I bet it'll be like undergrad. If you haven't heard by a certain point, it's a likely rejection...

Also, the Columbia turnaround has picked up dramatically. Someone got in in the current wave who went complete on 1/20. The first date for admission for a completion date around now is probably at the very end of February.
NYU can take as little as a week, but you're definitely still in contention even if you miss the first couple of admit-groups after your complete date. Stanford I think takes around three weeks at this point for the first possible admit-date, although they don't do batches of decisions but just call individual people when they've decided to admit them.

I went complete at Columbia on 1/5 any ideas when I might hear back? Do rejections come via letter or email?

You could hear back any day (although watch the Columbia thread for when a batch is going out, like right now, since Columbia only sends out admissions on some days). I think rejections also come by snail mail, but I'm not certain on that. They haven't rejected very many people yet (maybe not anyone who wasn't ED).meowmeow wrote:I went complete at Columbia on 1/5 any ideas when I might hear back? Do rejections come via letter or email?

just out of curiosity, does your status checker change when you receive an acceptance snail mail from columbia? and do you get any email notifications once you've been accepted at NYU, or does all information come through snail mail?

The Columbia status checker reportedly does not update past complete. NYU has yet to send me anything electronically (other than an admitted students day sign-up confirmation, which I only got because I signed up for an ASD on the admitted students website).

though i'd be lucky to get into either school, this is unfortunate because my mail service SUCKS, especially with this blizzard (i'm in the midwest).BenJ wrote:The Columbia status checker reportedly does not update past complete.
