No problem! LSAT 163, LSAC GPA 2.83. According to LSN, that's above the 75th for lsat, but below the 25th for gpa. I think my ps and recs helped me out there.
Thanks, i applied to hofstra with a fee waiver but from what ive read lately they're quite generous with scholarship money

How many of you are seriously considering attending??? The scholarship I got is definitely forcing me to consider it... I dated someone who went to Hofstra for undergrad and I really didn't love the campus,,, but that's definitely superficial haha and it's not like I checked out any buildings, or (esp.) the law building.
What do you all think of Hofstra?

For me, it really depends on the other schools I get accepted to. I will seriously have to consider Hofstra because of the scholarship money they offered. I can definitely see myself choosing Hofstra (nearly full scholarship) over a slightly higher ranked school. In this economy, I don't feel comfortable taking on too much debt with so much uncertainty about the future.
Additionally, the school is 15 mins away from my house (I live on Long Island)
Let's see what happens..

Does anyone know how long on average it takes to hear from them after the status changes to "file with admissions committee?" Mine changed two days ago and I haven't heard anything. Not a big deal but just wondering. Thanks!

I am so hoping you misread that, or misquoted. My status has been "file pending committee review" for almost two weeks. Now I have to wait for it to change to "file with admissions committee"? Ugh. First choice school and the wait is driving me crazy

Jerzee, I saw that hof is your first choice. I'm curious as to why this is, obviously besides you're from nj. I have applied to hof and with the $$$ they've been giving out it has become a real option .

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but yeah mine was "file pending committee review" before changing to "file with admissions committee," kind of nerve racking. I sent in my application on 1/11 and it just changed to "file with committee" on 1/26, if that helps figuring out where you are in the queue. I know what you mean about the waiting its driving me crazy. Anyways good luck with your application, I'm sure you'll get in!!

In today. I didn't receive an email, but status checker shows accepted. I applied January 15th, and went in review the 26th, so very quick overall.

For me, my status checker changed to "Accepted" and later in the day I got an email saying I was accepted. So, if checking the status checker is getting the best of you, know that you will get an email when you are accepted; otherwise, feel free to keep checking

Well you're an auto-admit so they tend to be very quick...if your numbers aren't well above the 75ths, it could take a bit.

I'm starting to realize how true the "auto-admit" thing is. I didn't trust the idea of a purely numbers-driven process (against all empirical data) and applied to a lot of safeties, but hey, it'll give me a lot of options, and all these schools are appealing in their own way.

I got the same scholarship. I went to check your stats and we are very similar. We are also applying to all the same schools with the exception of Seton Hall/Rutgers. Given our numbers, our cycle can turn out either way. Anticipation is killing me

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to the board
I went complete at Hofstra on January 4th and was accepted on the 14th with a $25,000 scholarship; nice deal!
Numbers are 159, 2.9; Hispanic (not sure if that helps much since I'm Cuban).

My status checker has said "accepted-congratulations!" since 2/2... Do you think I should have received an email by now telling me that I've been accepted?
