Re: GULC 2010: Interviews
Those of you who got an interview invite, when you replied to the e-mail did you get a confirmation notice? I replied last thursday and got nothing... I'm just worried it didn't go through since they told me I had to reply by 12 noon.

No confirmation notice... I think my e-mail said something to the effect of "after you reply, the next thing you hear will be from your interviewer."doinmybest wrote:Those of you who got an interview invite, when you replied to the e-mail did you get a confirmation notice? Re: GULC 2010: Interviews
Any idea how they decide on who they want to interview? It almost seems quite random with interviews on the high and low end of applicants. I have nearly identical stats as many people who were asked to interview (3.55, 171), but I was accepted without an interview.

Interview requested 12/16, interviewed 12/30. Everything seemed to go very well. Now the wait begins...

Re: GULC 2010: Interviews
Same boat here. Interview requested 12/1. Interviewed 12/29. She actually said she would recommend me for admission, but didn't know how much weight that would carry. Now I have to just wait...and wait... and wait.. to see.Lurkster wrote:Interview requested 12/16, interviewed 12/30. Everything seemed to go very well. Now the wait begins...

Application is being held for further review. I'll admit, I didn't see this coming after I was told by my interviewer that I would be recommended for acceptance.

Interview request 11/19 . . . finally interviewed today. They didn't even need to hold me over to spring semester since it kinda happened naturally. Any acceptances yet from the interviewees?

Funny that you ask. My interviewer didnt ask me a single question, he only had an hour long conversation with me. He led the convo in certain directions to get an idea of what kind of person I was, but other than that it was an open opportunity for me to talk about whatever I thought was important for Gtown to know.

Phone Interview on 1/15
UR on 1/21
Stats: 167/3.8 (4.0 last 2.5 yrs), good softs, URM (queer, though).
The phone interview was really relaxed, and I actually learned a good bit more about GTown culture. After some small chat and a bit of an introduction, the interviewer went ahead with a reverse interview. I'm glad I did research beforehand to have good questions to ask. I didn't use a cheat sheet or anything silly, it was just a nice relaxed conversation.
I really hope I get in (getting more anxious each day).

Re: GULC 2010: Interviews
does anyone know about group interviews at GULC? just got an email about one. it seems less mandatory than individual alum interviews, but i'm not really sure. is this also for borderline applicants? the dean of admissions is conducting them....

I also received this email asking for me to do a group interview on-campus. Im not sure what the difference is from a regular one-on-one interview.

162 LSAT and 3.85 GPA. Was sent an interview request on 11/16, I believe. Interviewed on 12/6. Finally had a status date change on 12/20. No word yet. Submitted on 10/30.

Damn, I just realized that I'll have to postpone dreading my hair for this Georgetown group interview. Totally was planning to rock dreads for my last semester
Or maybe, dreads would show character?
