I'm wondering when I could expect a scholarship offer if I get one. I received an email telling me I was in about a week and a half ago. Then this weekend I got an actual offer of admission in the snail mail. As of yet, however, no scholarship. Does anyone know if scholarship offers would have come along with the initial snail-mail offer of admission? Or would that be a second snail-mailing? Thanks.

Thank you. Do you know how much after the first snail mailing they typically come?

Dear Cincinnati: Thanks for the e-mail about living in Kentucky to get residency. However, you have yet to accept me. In the future don't make me get my hopes up. <3, keg411

People who are going to UC-- where are you thinking about living? I hear Ludlow Ave. is nice.

I got an email from the Assistant Dean asking for an updated transcript. Luckily I just sent one to the LSAC today.

Just got an email...

Cincinnati Law Admissions eNews - February 2010

COME ON! They clearly know that they are toying with us.

Where are good areas to live near campus?

Waitlisted Via mail on 2/8/2010. I think I went complete early in Jan.

Best of luck to you all!

how is cincinnati with scholarship money? are they generous? what numbers are needed for an OOS non-URM?

[07ggfa5]

yeah I got fooled by the admissions eNews e-mail looking for clues about my acceptance... I went complete on 1/20.

What are your numbers?

[sarlis]

just got back from a visit to UC Law... taking Qs

[presley9]

were you impressed?

[sarlis]

were you impressed?

Their hospitality was unmatched. The students were very nice and I never felt pressured to attend there. The staff was very nice, and I got to talk to Dean Watson for a while, and he was incredibly nice!

[MBZags]

More importantly, where did you eat?

[sarlis]

hahah, I got in late the night before, and I had to leave Cincinnati after my visit. I ate at the Spicy Pickle.

I really wanted to eat Skyline Chili, or Montgomery Inn, though

[wswalt]

anyone heard from cincy recently?

[wswalt]

Waitlisted via snail mail today.

^^ +1. Waitlisted via snail mail yesterday. This is surprising because I live in Ohio and have gotten into some T1's already. Oh well...

[07ggfa5]

I took a look at LSN #'s and my being waitlisted doesn't look surprising anymore. Looks like you need about 166 to be accepted with a low GPA below 3.2.

[keg411]

Based on this info, I'm expecting the WL letter. Thank god I already re-took the LSAT this weekend and don't have to sign up for June.

any tOSUers going to the UC law event on tuesday?

Clifton Gaslight District (someone mentioned Ludlow Ave.), Hyde Park, Mt. Adams, & Mt. Lookout on the Ohio side.

For the graduate metro-ers looking in Kentucky, look at Gettysburg Square in Fort Thomas. There are several law students who live there. About a 15 min. drive to campus.

1L here. PM if you have any questions.
