tOSU has two status checkers: one belongs to the University's Admissions Office and the other to the Moritz Law School. You were probably looking at the University's status checker. It uses "referred" to indicate that an application has been sent to one of the University's various schools for consideration. The Moritz status checker is the typical LSAC status checker...Moritz sends an email with your ID and password.

Been that way since 11/2.
btw, when I saw this thread was bumped, my heart stopped a little when I thought they made another round of decisions and I still had no news.

I applied 12.10 and as of 12.11 my current status reads: File Completed, Under Review
I got excited by the quick turn around, but I guess I have some waiting to do.
I'm an Ohio resident, 3.6x gpa, 161 LSAT. After this semester, my grades will go up and hopefully my December LSAT retake pushes me up a few points too.
Anyone want to predict my chances? I'm thinking I'm 50-50 or so.

In at OSU via email! I went under review 11/16.
Great timing since I'll be visiting the campus on Thursday.

looks like they sent out some acceptances today, at least one person on LSN says they got accepted today. They had 3.7 GPA, 164 LSAT.
EDIT: or I could be talking about the same person above....

The OSU bitterness is setting in! Complete since 11/3. Ohio Resident, OSU alum, several post grad degrees and a 175 LSAT. Could my 3.07 LSDAS GPA be that important? Sigh, they WERE my #1 choice but this whole making me wait thing lowers them everyday!

I highly doubt they're going to reject a 175! Maybe you should call and bug them

I applied 12/08, and the status checker came on the same day, then 12/09 it changed into 'File complete, under review'. I was surprised that they acted so quickly.

In! LSN in profile.
Anyone previously admitted receive scholarship information?
If so, what was the timeline between acceptance and snail mail?

I'd be very surprised if you don't get in...OSU doesn't reject any 163s who have better than a 3.4, if you look at the last few cycles....Even if they get a little choosier, your 3.6 should put you in good shape, IMO.

Yes....law school numbers can confirm this.... thats why I think my 3.3/163/urm status shud make this a safety (hopefulllly!!)

For those nervous nelly's like me waiting on Thee osu, I emailed admissions today, said that they're still wrapping up ED's and hope to have apps submitted before 12/1 done by mid-January.

Yeah...for some reason my post disappeared, but I applied ED and was deferred this morning. So they are chugging through the apps. I am thankful not to have received a straight out rejection, but I'm not certain how likely they admit deferrals.

How long after your apps were "referred" did it take to hear an answer? Just got "referred" today.
