I got an email this morning saying they received my app. My situation:

-Decided to apply ED which had a deadline of Nov. 15 (Sun.)
-The office told me that if my LORs were postmarked by that date they would go towards my ED app. The two remaining were both postmarked and dropped into mailbox Sat. so they should be there today or tomorrow.
-I signed ED certificate and mailed last Thurs. so that should be there.
-I alerted office that LORs would be postmarked but arrive late. They said it would be OK
-I submitted the app (minus 2 LORs) Sat. afternoon
-Received email from MN this morning.

I hope I got into the ED pile!

Hey, so I was looking over the website again today and saw that the decision should come before Dec. 1 (for some reason I thought Dec. 15). That'd be sick! If I get in, I can stop worrying about all of this and start planning a pre-1L MN to west coast bike trip...

I just hope I got everything submitted in time. I called today and the lady didn't know about me specifically but thought it would be OK. I'll definitely be answering every unknown phone number w/ a TC area code and checking the mail for a fat envelope from the U of MN. Unless MN sends out skinny envelopes. That'll only make me more neurotic as in my mind skinny=bad, fat=good...

EA decisions, which is everyone who applied before Nov. 15 and didn't apply ED, come before Jan. 15, i believe

You only applied ED if you physically signed and mailed in a "binding ED agreement" which means you have to attend Minnesota if they admit you. If you did not do that, but simply sent in your application before 11/15, then you applied EA which means you will hear by 1/15 but the decision is not binding.

Those of us who applied ED are guaranteed an "admit" or "deny" by 12/1.

Anybody's status checker change yet?

My app is "Waiting for Review" as of today. I'm impressed that it's going through so fast seeing as I submitted over the weekend. I did apply ED, though, so i'm sure they're trying to get through those first.

This is the email I got from Minnesota (I applied ED):

Your file is now complete at the University of Minnesota Law School. If you applied for the Binding Early Decision option, a decision (Admit or Deny) will be mailed by December 1. If your application is complete by November 15 you will automatically be considered for early action and a decision will be mailed by January 15, 2010. Please be aware that we are unable to respond to telephone inquiries about your status.

My "in review" date changed again today to 11/20...Hoping they will start sending out some decisions soon!!!

I know last year a buddy of mine was called before receiving acceptance through the mail. Answer any calls from unknown 612 numbers!
