How about we send some luck my way!

I'm higher LSAT, slightly lower GPA so that may work against me, but Harvard, if you're reading this you can probably figure out who I am and I would love to come!

So the first batch of calls is definitely not an interview batch. :D
Congrats! I go the same thing. Feels great doesn't it?

Do you know how we can confirm and/or put down a seat deposit and get going with financial aid etc? I don't want to withdraw from my previous choice until I can put down a seat deposit at Harvard...

Good news for those with lower LSATs, someone received a PCEM today with a 166, 3.98, non-urm.

Congrats to you as well! I tried getting on the site to find housing and all, and even called, and you pretty much can't do anything without your username and password, which will be in the official mailing package sent to our houses in the next few days. :(

Another person (posted on LSD) who has a 3.9+ and a 168, non-URM received a PCEM yesterday.

Honestly, it's difficult to say. The URM makes it a little tricky. I would feel better with a slightly higher GPA or LSAT, but my guess is that you're at least competitive. I certainly wouldn't pack your bags and go apartment hunting, but I wouldn't consider yourself completely out of the running either.

I think numbers played a role...you have a kickass GPA at one of the harder Ivies. You might have gotten Yale or Stanford. You must have an interesting story as well, but one of your numbers is awesome. Nevertheless, congrats!

If they took a GPA splitter, hopefully they'll look for an LSAT splitter to balance it.

man, i feel like i have a losing lottery ticket here. 3.7ish gpa and multiple lsats (one high and one low). do you think soft factors count anymore when you're a waitlist candidate? those, i've got.

I'm hoping that they need some of us 3.7ish GPAs and high LSATs to balance the class back out...

I don' have a Harvard-type GPA (3.53) and my LSAT isn't spectacular enough to compensate (173), but I made it onto the wait-list somehow. There must be something other than numbers that they like about my application. I think for that myself and others in the same boat it's a good sign overall (though I haven't received any emails beyond the initial notification). We're not just in the midst of a statistical herd. That said, there are probably plenty of people on the list with stronger numbers AND more interesting soft factors, so I'm not expecting much.

I wonder how the decision to 1) call and accept immediately or 2) call and indicate you're on a shortlist for admission is made. I'm just musing on this since it seems like most of the people being called are being accepted immediately (I realize that I'm using a sample size of like..seven).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
