I also got full rides from t20s and only got 25k out of state for next year. They said that my scholarship would be renewable if I meet some stipulations that are coming in the mail. At any rate, Im gonna try to negotiate more, if I dont get it I wont be able to go :\hegotmoneyyyyy wrote:I got offered about 50% which is crazy to me because I got a full ride and an 80% at two higher ranked schoolsSdenn5 wrote:Can y'all post when you get your scholarship info? How was the dinner? I'm going to one of the later ones and I'm curious.0LawSchool wrote:Anyone going to the dinner with the dean tonight?
Also I received scholarship information in an email. It's not a ton, but it's money!

Dinner was great. It was the Dean and Assistant Dean. Very casual. I believe there was only 6 applicants there total, all of whom had been accepted already. Basically just a good chance to ask any questions and for them to sell UMD to us.CandyWithAnI wrote:How was the dinner? Still don't have any scholarship info. Has anyone else heard back? Also, has anyone heard anything about the Samuel and Anne Hopkins scholarship?

I've received scholarship info. After talking to Dean Schroll, she said the Hopkins and Osborne scholarship decisions will go out at the end of the month. Beyond that, I have no idea.

After the scholarship amount, I am probably going to attend UMD. Anyone know of any accepted/attending student Facebook pages?

I applied the middle of January and haven't heard anything, is that a normal wait time or should I call and make sure everything is okay?

FYI, Maryland only gives more than half tuition to ~13% of students, and the median student gets less than 10K a year. What were you expecting from them?

Like I said I got a full ride and an 80% at two higher ranked schools, so clearly I was expecting more. Coming from out of state that's nothing.saf18hornet wrote:https://www.law.umaryland.edu/prospecti ... t-2015.pdfhegotmoneyyyyy wrote:I got offered about 50% which is crazy to me because I got a full ride and an 80% at two higher ranked schoolsSdenn5 wrote:Can y'all post when you get your scholarship info? Anyone know if the school offers in-state tuition to some surrounding areas? I saw that U of Baltimore does to some counties in PA, VA, and all of DE, but have been unable to find anything similar at UMD. Has anyone heard of resident tuition waivers?

My app was "in review" from 1/28 til 3/28 when I got waitlisted. I also reached out to the admissions office about seat deposits and was told they differ depending on the acceptance date of the applicant. So in sum looks like we are both stuck waiting until they figure it out.

Re: UMaryland c/o 2020 applicants
Hello, How did everyone receive their decisions? My online status has been in review since 3/30 and has not changed dates at any point. I was wondering if I needed to keep checking the status checker or if I should be looking out for an email/letter in the mail. Thanks!!

I got a email notifying me that I had been put on the waitlist. I was also in review from late January until the end of March. I know they are beginning to review waitlist applicants next week per correspondence with the assistant dean. I'd think you may be in that batch? Just a guess though, hope this helps!
