Did you get the feeler today? From past years, the email is not necessary to go UR. But UR is necessary before you are accepted.
Yeah I just got it about an hour ago. I just need someone to keep my expectations low haha
Just pm'd for stats!

I visited the school today . They said that they just began looking into the Waitlist and that they sent out an email to the first batch that they were interested in to gauge their continued interst . They then said that after responding to this feeler email they go back in and do a full review of the application. He said that early next week is when we should expect to hear back . And that if we received that email it's a good sign . Crossing my fingers !

Wait, how do you know that you have a 99.9% chance of getting in off the waitlist if your application goes back under review? I got the feeler email and just went under review as well and staying in NY is my DREAM!

Based solely on last year's thread alone. What are your stats like? Were you ED or URM?

168 LSAT/3.7 GPA and just finished my Peace Corps service along with a lot of other stellar work experiences and volunteer experiences. After being waitlisted at Columbia and NYU my staying home dream was crushed, but this little bit of hope is making me so excited.

Who has not received a feeler email yet has relatively competitive stats (above both 25% or extreme >75%/<25% splitter)?

Any insight into what these mean? There were many reports last year of people UR and DLS without feeler emails. Did any of you make abundantly clear that you would accept at all costs or something, thus removing any need for a feeler? I feel like many of the feeler people had similar stats, so us not getting feelers doesn't make sense on numbers alone, unless they just really don't like us.

I'm curious about this too. I did send in an LOCI and the last line was something like "i will 100% def go if you want me"

Thank you for confirming your place on the NYU School of Law waitlist. There is a possibility that the Admissions Committee will make a limited number of additional offers within the coming week. We hope you are still in a position to accept an offer of admission for fall 2016 if a seat were to become available. Please reply promptly and no later than Friday, May 6, to this email to confirm your continued interest in NYU Law.
We will do our best to reach a final decision on your application as soon as possible. Please note that scholarships will be awarded only to those who demonstrate significant financial need; applicants who are admitted from the waitlist are ineligible to defer admission; and we anticipate that Law School housing will be available for those who are admitted from the waitlist.
If you have made firm plans to attend another law school in the fall, we wish you all the best. Please write to us to officially withdraw from wait list consideration.
Thank you for your patience, and please let us know if you have any questions.

I received it on Wednesday responded within the hour

I have not received the feeler email. Though I am not sure the competitiveness of my stats [being a >75 / <25 splitter (173, 3.27) ].

I did send a LOCI today, so hopefully that will make a difference.

Did you (or anyone else) go UR today without receiving the feeler?

Last year there were multiple reports of DLS without feelers, just UR before DLS. It seems like feelers from this cycle are just starting to go UR. I wouldn't say it's impossible to get off the Waitlist without a feeler email, although this is pure speculation. It does seem that NYU has some sort of reason for feeler emails that does not correspond to numbers alone.

Hi, I've been lurking here for awhile, but have never posted. I just got DLS on my status checker, no access to ASW. Extremely nervous. I'm a non-traditional applicant with a low LSAT and a high GPA (reverse splitter). Any thoughts on what this means?!
