Is anyone else finding that seeing people posting acceptances on your WL school's thread is like feeling tiny little daggers with each post? Just me? Lol.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for people but it's a bit discouraging. Thinking of feeling this way into the summer months is a pretty depressing thought.

Totally share the feeling. I think it's almost worse when people start talking about ASW and housing... It's so real for them and I'm just stuck in the pipe dream.

Glad I'm not the only one. I share the sentiment about ASW and housing. When they're complaining about not getting enough scholarship money too, it gets to me. But hey, I'm trying to put good vibes out there to hopefully get some back.

Got waitlisted at my topchoice today :/ Feeling pretty depressed. I thought I was for sure going to get in but this is the 4th waitlist I'm on so it is getting overwhelming and frustrating.

I have to keep telling myself that getting put on the WL is not a rejection. You are still in contention, it's just more of a waiting game now. Have you drafted a LOCI for your top choice? Are you able to visit?

You know what's the best...when you have a numbers twin who is the same demographically, and they get into Georgetown and Vanderbilt, and you get waitlisted. I feel like I am in Highlander and the schools are like...there can only be one, and I'm thinking, great let me get my mythical scottish two-handed sword out and...

Got wait listed at my top choice, second choice, still waiting to hear from my third and fourth choices, and got waitlisted to my fifth choice. Depressing...especially since I was at the 75th percentile for LSAT for my second choice and below, and at median for my top choice.

I am sorry to hear that! What were the schools you were above 75th?

Yep, that sums up my cycle. Seeing people get in with comparable or lower numbers and softs, and then me turning green with envy.

Yes, I can visit and I will. I will draft a LOCI in the next week and send it but as everyone on this thread, I just wish I had a definite yes

I hope you have infinite success, but I'm also comforted by not being alone here. Ah. It's making me really anxious to see that people with better numbers than me are also still riding waitlists.

I was wait listed at Temple. Would it be a good idea to mention something in a LOCI along the lines of "although I have received acceptance offers and generous scholarships from Drexel and Penn State, Temple definitely remains my first choice"?

Or is mentioning other schools like that only best practice for scholarship negotiations?

I'm only planning on riding out my top choice, even if I get WL offers from other schools. But I know you can ride out as many as you want. For your sanity, I would just pick the one that really matters to you if you get accepted and ditch the others. But, only you can decide.

Anyone have advice on when the ideal timeframe is to send a LOCI? I'd imagine it would follow the rule of calling or texting after the first date — not to soon, not too late. Thinking a month. Thoughts?

Regarding the GW waitlist, can you all elaborate on what "riding it out" at GW means? I'm WL there as well. Are they known for taking a really long time to get people off WL or something like that? I'm just trying to get a sense of the dynamics of their WL generally. Also, are you going to be sending a LOCI to them? Thanks and good luck!
