Has anyone anyone tried negotiating scholarships yet? What was the outcome?

No one?

I sent them an email asking about scholarship reconsideration, and got this response:

"Thank you for your email. We have received your scholarship request and we will include this with your file. We hope the following information about Loyola's scholarship policy is also helpful.

The Scholarship Committee offers awards after extensive analysis of the entering class. It is our hope to extend offers to many admitted students but our funding is limited. It is also our goal that similarly qualified students will receive awards in the same range (as opposed to having students with the same profile receive awards of varying amounts.) Because of this, we do not match offers from other law schools.

You will receive different offers based on a law school's entering class profile, size, budget and funding. We cannot make scholarship awards based on other schools' policies. In the case that we can offer new awards, the Scholarship Committee will contact those selected candidates immediately. (We will maintain your request for our files.)

We appreciate your interest in attending Loyola. If you would like to arrange a visit to campus, please feel free to review our schedule, lls.edu/visit or to call us at 213-736-1074. If you would like more information about our programs, would like to contact a faculty member or have any other questions, please contact Ms. Jannell Lundy Roberts, Senior Assistant Dean of Admissions & Enrollment Services at jannell.roberts@lls.edu.

I received the same automatic response as well. Was hoping that someone else was just able to get a real response from someone saying either yes or no.

I absolutely hate that their preview day is the day most first deposits are due.

In as well, and right now LLS is my top choice. I applied 1/26, went complete a day or two later, and was accepted via email (at 1AM) on 2/27.

Stats: 2.95 UG GPA (Huge upward trend, was on Academic Probation freshman/sophomore year)
LSAT: 161

I have already attended a Student Host Day, and to address some earlier questions I saw throughout the thread:

1. Loyola says they don't negotiate scholarships. When they have more money that becomes available, they try to distribute it among a group of similar students. They are constantly "reevaluating" scholarships, so really you could get offered more money after your initial offer even if you don't initiate negotiations.

2. The girl who gave my group a campus tour described how sections are assigned, and it this is what she said:

"You're put into a section with people who have similar numbers and applications to yours. Like, everyone knows Section 1 is the Harvard kids. They all have crazy scholarships. They do it like that so you aren't competing against people with numbers a lot higher than yours."

Again, this is just what one student ambassador told my group. No idea how accurate it is.

Overall, I got a pretty good impression from the visit. I will likely commit to Loyola, but I am in the middle of scholarship negotiations with Hastings and was just waitlisted at UCLA.

Yeap. I called admissions and asked if they would consider scholarship negotiations. The lady said they do not match scholarships from other schools and she also mentioned that everyone is assigned to groups depending on GPA/LSAT. Schollie amounts are then assigned to these "groups." She did mention that we were allowed to send an email regarding reconsideration though. Not sure what that meant, since they don't match schollies. Who knows.

the old number was for the '15-'16 school year. The new number is what we'll have to pay.

OMG I bet they will not bump up the schollys by then...

If you look at the CO 2018 thread, you can see that most people got random bumps all the way till June. Anywhere from 60k jumping to 90k... and even 90k jumping to 115k. I guess it depends on how many students with schollies withdraw on the first deadline!
