And from what we've seen in past years you probably wont receive a decision until at least next month :/cecrum wrote:Emory doesnt do a status checker, so dont worry about itkylethedog wrote:Just submitted! Now I get to furiously check my email and status checked everyday, WooHoo!.
Last year, at least, I received an e-mail confirming I wanted my application to go under review (was waiting on score release). That was the only update after going complete prior to the decision.jlaw20161 wrote:And from what we've seen in past years you probably wont receive a decision until at least next month :/cecrum wrote:Emory doesnt do a status checker, so dont worry about itkylethedog wrote:Just submitted! A bit brutal on that LSAT 25th, but a decent sized bump on the GPA 25th (3.30 to 3.45), OPs been updated, if anyone reads that thing at this point.Maplesyrup wrote:oh, and the 509 is up, 25th percentile lsat to 156. everything else as expected

Which made me forgot that I even applied to this schoolJrr13 wrote:I must say, I actually like that Emory doesn't provide a status check. It prevents me from checking it 2-3 times a day like all the other ones..
Same. I put New France because we're not too far from there, but honestly it could be any of those or even El Norte. The Abyss wrote:I'm right at the border of Great Appalachia and the Deep South.

I'd generally say yes, c/o 2014 was 51.9% Georgia, 11.9% New York, 5.2% Florida. Previous years are fairly similar, with California occasionally supplanting Florida, and DC making some appearances. http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/ ... tion/2014/monceau wrote:Is it still generally considered a bad idea to go to Emory if you don't want to work in the South?
My goal ultimately would be NYC, DC, or Boston BigLaw. I know Boston and DC would probably be pipe dreams from Emory. But I can't really tell if the 11.9% NYC thing is because of self-selection from wanting to stay in the South/in Georgia, or because Emory degrees just aren't super portable outside the region.TheProdigal wrote:I'd generally say yes, c/o 2014 was 51.9% Georgia, 11.9% New York, 5.2% Florida. However, and this is something I came away from last year thinking -- the school-funded jobs might actually help to a certain extent. They'll work setting up a deal with an employer in your choice destination and provide what support and networking they can in the area. They also put some attention on their grads working internationally.
Anywhere in particular you were thinking about?
But you can "rest assured that (their) lights are on, and (they) are working diligently to review (our) applications!"WatchClosely wrote:For the record, I strongly object to Emory sending a promotional email with the subject line "Emory Law Admission."
