Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

I'm no expert, but I would think it would have to go in section 3 below. Section three is where you list community activities or extracurricular. You still list how much time you participated so they would know it was extensive. If you really really want to include it in the employment section, I'd say internship and then list the position as Volunteer--[Actual Title]. But IDK if that is a stretch in that section. You could always call or email SLS admissions with those types of questions. They are super resourceful and will know how they want you to submit it.
Thanks! Just called them and they said to list it as full-time employment. Thought I'd put that out there in case anybody else faces the same dilemma. They also said not to worry about it too much...perhaps I've spent too much time stressing on TLS?

OP's log, star date 2015.247

Stanford has maintained silence since my original submission. Its indifference to my existence only exacerbates the pain of my hangover. The wait is difficult, and made worse by the jeers from the local life forms.

Aww man, I just realized that the Stanford cycle is going to be brutal due to the PST/EST difference.

EDIT: That was one of the more sternly worded confirmation emails I've received.

Really? What'd they say? :) (from the person still waiting hopelessly for letters.)
Dear Mr. doublehoohopeful (my real last name):

We write to acknowledge receipt of your application to Stanford Law School. After your application is processed, we will contact you again with information on how to check your application status online.

Please note it is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain all required application materials reach the Office of Admissions.

Sincerely,
Compared with the others I've received, it just came across as spartan.

And I'll happily pay the $130, because it's Stanford :(

OP's log, stardate 2015.250

Since the single cryptic message several days ago, I have not had any communication with Stanford. I understand that it's a holiday weekend, but other schools have been communicating. Why not Stanford? I'm hoping to receive some sort of sign next week.

Otherwise, I'm ready to apply, aside from my unwillingness to part with $130 but that won't change so.
I personally did not write one, but I don't know if there is specific advice/preference on this. For HYS I generally assume that it is not necessary because they are HYS.
If there is something about Stanford that no other school has, I'd consider writing one. For example, Harvard has a clinic that I have years of experience in and no other school has something with that focus. I'm writing a quick paragraph or two highlighting that.
