So true. They also expect me to become fabulously wealthy the second I earn law degree.slippin_jimmy wrote:

Well, listen, Cornell is a...is a damn good school...damn good.basedvulpes wrote:+1. All things equal, I would retake and apply next year before I took any T14 at full price.benwyatt wrote:http://www.lstscorereports.com/compare/ ... u/cornell/Seamus887 wrote:I don't know.. It is a pretty damn good school with probably the best biglaw prospects... I guess if NYU threw money out, it would be a hard choice. But there are some other great t14s that would probably throw good money.. still I could see doing CLS at sticker as a possiblity.
Looking here I don't really feel like the CLS boost in biglaw is enough to justify paying for it at sticker if either Cornell or NYU gave out some money.
That's just me though
Also, why don't more people consider Cornell? They have betterlarge firm ANDfederal clerkship rates than CLS, with comparable amounts of people choosing PI. Cornell is one of the most attractive options for me.
ETA: whoops I read that wrong. But I stand by my point.

Anyone follow up on this or have any other thoughts? Graduated last year and am applying this cycle (so I'd enter with 2 years of experience) and wondering if I need an employer LOR.basedvulpes wrote:pittsburghpirates wrote:The app preview suggests that it should be for anyone that is currently working full time... May be worth reaching out to the admissions office on this one. Definitely don't want to screw it up!" For applicants currently working on a full-time basis,
a letter from an employer or immediate supervisor who most recently supervised your full-time work is required and may
replace one of the two faculty letters. In some instances, applicants may find it extremely difficult to obtain one of the
required appraisals. If that is the case, applicants must use their best judgment to determine what letters should be submitted
to complete their file, with the understanding of how valuable letters of recommendation are to our evaluation of their
qualifications for admission."
This all seems to be fairly conflicting. Probably safest to just ask.

I don't see how it's conflicting. If you've been out of school for more than a year, then you need an employer LOR. If you haven't, you don't. I haven't called the school to confirm, but I don't see how else you could read that.
