Very seriously considering applying ED. Anyone know when they start reviewing applications? Applications open September 1st, which is earlier than most schools.

I'd also point out that as of Sept. 1, 10/14 of the T-14 apps will be open.
Ooh, thanks for the info! Clearly I didn't look too closely

Also curious about AJD applicants. What have you heard about the program? Clearly saving a year is an advantage but any disadvantages (such as difficult Big Law placement)?

Re: Northwestern c/o 2019 Applicants
well the biggest disadvantage i've heard is that you have 1 semester of grades instead of 2 when it comes to OCI so you have less margin of error. also not a whole lot of time to prep for OCI because it starts so soon after finals. lastly i've heard the curve is weird for AJDs but i am not sure if that works in/against your favorJedBartlet2016 wrote:Also curious about AJD applicants. Checking in, fingers crossed!
Are we only able to request interviews starting Sept. 15, too?

I called this morning- they said they'll have something online with an updated interview schedule in "a week or two." You can't schedule interviews today :Chhollow wrote:Checking in, fingers crossed!

Re: Northwestern c/o 2019 Applicants
I'm older. Have 4 years of work experience. Not legal though. I can't say I'm not worried about AJD students having only one semester grades for their OCI. But I'm just going to apply for AJD and, if I get in, I will worry about the negatives then. (AJD is not the only program I'm applying for.)James.K.Polk wrote:Can I ask why? Are you older? Just want to get it over with? I like the idea in theory but it just seems too 'different' for me!pursuerr wrote:Checking in. Ajd applicant as well.

does your AJD app carry over to regular program? or you have apply (and pay) for each individual program?

They are carried over to the regular program. i.e. someone who didn't get into AJD could get into a regular program.Petrichor wrote:does your AJD app carry over to regular program? or you have apply (and pay) for each individual program?
