Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays, if not my favorite. If you dressed up for Halloween as a kid, what did you dress up as and why? When did you stop trick-or-treating?Hildegard15 wrote: Haha thank you!! My favorite color is orange or forest green. I can't decide between the two. Which of course when put together makes me think of pumpkins/Halloween so maybe there's something to that.

Haha, pirates! Yarrr. I generally dressed up as a witch, except once I accidentally dressed up as a bride because I thought it was a princess costumeHildegard15 wrote:When I was a kid, I always dressed up as male characters. Looking back, this explains a lot about me as a person. From the 3rd-5th grades, I was Peter Pan, Robin Hood, and then a pirate, respectively. I've always been a swashbuckler at heart. I stopped trick or treating at 14. How about you?

Is that a thing? I kind of figure it was one off those schools where everyone knows it's a top choice. Do you have a compelling 'Why?'Hildegard15 wrote:This thread is so dead. Anybody else throwing a Why Harvard essay in? I am that obsessed.
Harvard is actually not the school I'm thrilled to apply to. Not to say that I wouldn't count myself exceptionally lucky to actually get in, but I'm not crazy about the class size, the cold, and the probable gunners.

Well that is kind of compelling. You officially have my blessing for a "Why Harvard."Hildegard15 wrote:According to TLS knowledge it's not a thing, but there are some very specific programs that relate to the work I'm doing now that I could only find in my law school research at Harvard.cdotson2 wrote:I don't think it is a thing, but it might be. and yeah this thread is super dead, and it makes me sad, but it is doing better than yale's!Dcc617 wrote:Is that a thing? No offense taken, haha. I comfort myself with the knowledge that the app doesn't open til late, so there will be this magical rush of people when Oct 1st comes. A girl can dream, right?Dcc617 wrote: Haha yeah it would suck to be that OP.

Out of curiosity, why the singular focus on HLS?Hildegard15 wrote:My obsession with Harvard has officially reached an unhealthy level. I'm now sitting at work, feeling nauseous about getting waitlisted/rejected, and THE APPLICATION HASN'T EVEN OPENED YET.

If only you had OPed the Harvard thread. Then you'd be a shoo-in.Hildegard15 wrote:I really miss Boston and would like to go back there. It's one of my favorite cities. Harvard also has the most clinics that focus specifically on an area of law that I am particularly interested in. They also are one of the few schools that has maintained a 50/50 male to female ratio and they have one of the most diverse student bodies of the T14.mujiali wrote:
