Anyone know what the procedure is for submitting additional LORs? Or LOCI/updated info?

I think these things are at your discretion, though a LOCI is generally a good idea (unless H has specifically said they don't want them). The general rule is to not over contact them, but to also make sure you demonstrate initial continued interest, and then follow up every few (3-4) weeks.middlebear wrote:Anyone know what the procedure is for submitting additional LORs? What I'm wondering is, should we send these directly to JS, to the general admissions office email... I'm guessing NOT through LSAC?honey wrote:I think these things are at your discretion, though a LOCI is generally a good idea (unless H has specifically said they don't want them). Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
Hi All,
Once you accepted the waitlist, did your status change?
My email told me that "your status will change from “wait list offered” to “active on the wait list.”"
However, mine still just says "wait list offered" even though I accepted my spot a few days ago.
Just wondering if I need to call and clarify. thanks!

You're good. They mention that it may take several days before all the updates are current. I'd give it until the end of the week before worrying about it.HungarianGirl13 wrote:Hi All,

Checking in also - so happy not to have been dinged since it's been ages since I've heard anything.

Does anyone have any other input/advice on this, especially regarding the "initial continued interest?" Does Harvard really want to know why we want to go?honey wrote:middlebear wrote: Anyone know what the procedure is for submitting additional LORs? Or LOCI/updated info?

I probably won't write a LOCI (unless something significant happens, i.e. promotion). probably for the same reason it's not good practice to write a 'why harvard' unless you have a very specific situation.

Does this indicate that visiting Harvard won't help a lot? I agree that a visit/LOCI without significant achievement added will not help a lot to get off wl of Harvard...It's Harvard, anyway...They know everyone wants to go...This is just my opinion, but not sure if I am correct?qwertyTLS wrote:I probably won't write a LOCI (unless something significant happens, i.e. promotion). probably for the same reason it's not good practice to write a 'why harvard' unless you have a very specific situation.

I doubt that it'll help; I highly doubt that it'll help a lot.fhmx wrote:Does this indicate that visiting Harvard won't help a lot? It shouldn't really, since it's flagrantly inequitable on the basis of both geography and wealth.

Checking in and subsequently checking out.
Good luck to y'all! Hopefully it'll work out for you. I decided not to accept the spot on the waitlist, so that's one less spot to compete for.

Agreed. It was nice to live vicariously through them. It's much healthier to be happy for them than jealous of them.tonysoprano wrote:Had such a great time reading about everyone's JS2s today in the HLS applicants thread...
