Re: Michigan Law Waitlist c/o 2018
I have yet to be released from the WL or receive an email gauging interest. Although I have sent a few LOCIs.

No email of release here either. Are we safe!? I have also politely stalked via the frequent sending of LOCI

No release here either. I don't know what to think. Safe or not for now?

I don't think that they released anyone yesterday... No movement on here and no movement on LSN.

Re: Michigan Law Waitlist c/o 2018
I've admittedly spent way too much time in the previous years WL threads, but here's what I've found, for what it's worth: In the 2017 WL thread the group was much smaller and there were not many reported releases until July/August. In the 2016 WL thread there was a release massacre around June 14th, but that group of waiters was significantly larger than the 2017 group. I think if Michigan released anyone from the WL yesterday it's those who wanted to be released or those who have not shown any interest in attending, if accepted. Hopefully this years WL follows the 2017 class trajectory and there are few releases and many acceptances

Re: Michigan Law Waitlist c/o 2018
Thanks for your email. We released some candidates from the waitlist yesterday. Later today we will be sending an email to everyone remaining on the waitlist asking them to reaffirm their interest in remaining on the waitlist. You are going to get the email today, so if you want to remain on the waitlist, then make sure to click the link and fill out the brief survey to update your interest. We are continuing to evaluate waitlisted candidates and we may make additional offers of admission in the coming weeks. We'll update the Waitlist FAQ message when we have news, so continue to keep an eye there.

^^^^ thanks for sharing! That's promising news. Anyone have any idea on when there will be a Michigan WL wave? It's seems there's been sprinkles of acceptances here and there, by no actual waves like other schools or years past.
ETA: thank you waiters for coming out of lurkdom. I was starting to thing the WL consisted of me, myself and I plus KMart!

OK, I just got the interest assessment letter from Dean Zearfoss. So I suppose that those are going out now!

I got released yesterday after not responding to the interest email a few weeks back. May have just been a deadline to cut those who failed to express interest. Had been meaning to withdraw anyways, so no biggieoaktown wrote:Received Wl email today trying to gauge interest.

I wish that people in your situation would withdraw sooner rather than continuing to take a spot on the waitlist, if you know you're going to withdraw. It's things like this that drag the process out across the board. I made all my withdrawals the day my first deposit was due.oaktown wrote:I got released yesterday after not responding to the interest email a few weeks back. Re: Michigan Law Waitlist c/o 2018
Chill out. I withdrew from most of my WL schools way earlier, but had been waiting for some financial aid stuff to get finished before withdrawing from a few other ones - Michigan included. Got all the $$$ stuff taken care of a few days before the Michigan WL interest email, which I let be, (correctly) assuming they'd cut me at the June date if I didn't express interest. I doubt me taking the time to contact them to remove myself would have made things any more expedient for anyone in this thread; it's a slow process regardless.corman3000 wrote:I wish that people in your situation would withdraw sooner rather than continuing to take a spot on the waitlist, if you know you're going to withdraw. I'm glad to hear you made all your withdrawals on the date of your first deposit, though.
