In general, is it common to receive admissions decisions on the weekends?

Im not 100% sure but i haven't received any decisions on the weekends, I would assume that admissions offices are only open during the weeknana2015 wrote:In general, is it common to receive admissions decisions on the weekends?

Can't remember which school, but I believe I received a WL notification over the weekend.

Good to know - thanks for the update!hbaker712 wrote:I called today and Liz told me they will begin releasing scholarships within the next two weeks.capsoccer wrote:Has anyone received/know when to expect scholarship information?
Did anyone else apply in time for the early admission (not ED) deadline? I did and haven't heard back yet. I know we have until Jan 30 for decisions but like most people I just hate the waiting game.

Anyone have any input about the South Campus Gateway apts/student housing that is supposed to be priority for Moritz students?

Honestly housing in Columbus is going to depend on what you are looking for. South Campus Gateway apartments are nice, but you will definitely get the big college scene. There are a decent amount of bars in that area that 18-23 year olds will be frequenting basically Sunday-Saturday. In terms of location you can't beat it.foregetaboutdre wrote:Anyone have any input about the South Campus Gateway apts/student housing that is supposed to be priority for Moritz students?
Campus area -typical college area, walking distance
Short North - Artsy, good restaurants, easy bus ride down high
Grandview - Mid to Late 20s crowd, good bars and food, 5-10 minute drive to campus
Clintonville - close to campus (5-10 minute drive), quieter, more families

Accepted today via email. Application was completed on 12/10 and I applied Early Admissions (the non-binding option).
Anyone know how long it takes to hear back about scholarship info? The email stated "over the next few weeks and months"...

Congrats! Did your status checker change before getting the email? I applied under the same option but didn't get mine in until the 19th. Clearly going to be hearing back soon, but my SC still says I'm under review.CM3809 wrote:Accepted today via email. Thanks, decided to visit over MLK weekend since the weather was decent and I go to another B1G University close by. Awesome campus, looks like there's no shortage of things to do.keosu11 wrote:Honestly housing in Columbus is going to depend on what you are looking for. I may be biased, but it is a really nice campus. The Columbus area has a lot going on, so it'll be hard to get too bored when you're not studying.foregetaboutdre wrote:Thanks, decided to visit over MLK weekend since the weather was decent and I go to another B1G University close by. Off the housing/area topics, has anyone else made the decision to attend?

I want to but the lst score is what is scaring me to commit.hbaker712 wrote: I may be biased, but it is a really nice campus. The Columbus area has a lot going on, so it'll be hard to get too bored when you're not studying.

I totally understand the concern. I do know a few 3L's at Moritz and spoke with them about job prospects to quiet my own concerns. Each of them has had a position from their 1L summer on, and those will continue on after graduation - assuming they pass the Bar. I should note, these are top 10% students.asb12345 wrote:I want to but the lst score is what is scaring me to commit.hbaker712 wrote: I may be biased, but it is a really nice campus. I guess I also look at where I plan to practice - Ohio. No law school in Ohio has an LST score over 60 right now. So, taking into account the market where I want to practice, the ranking of the school, the under-employment score as compared to other Ohio schools, and my own allegiance to OSU I found Mortiz to be my #1 choice.

got a nice personalized note from admissions today, combine that with their national champs status and OSU has moved up a notch.

Anyone know how long they usually take to make a decision. I've been under review since 11/21 getting pretty anxious.

From what I've gathered they have a reputation for being slow so I wouldn't worry too much (if possible). I applied in early December and I'm still waiting too.LVbucknell wrote:Anyone know how long they usually take to make a decision. I've been under review since 11/21 getting pretty anxious.

Did everyone receive the invitation for the Moritz scholarship? I am assuming so because I haven't even received my admission decision yet, but I thought I'd check.

Yup. Woke up to two e-mails from OSU.
