Congrats! :D

What state do you live in? Mine said mailed last Friday and still hasn't made its way to my mailbox. I am hoping its just because they waited a few days before actually sending it, but its making me crazy!
I know how you feel! It was driving me crazy too as it said mine was mailed on Friday as well. Met the mailman at the mailbox everyday. I live in North Carolina, in Raleigh specifically, so I'm not sure why it took so long.

Has anyone set up the Facebook page for the Class of 18 yet??

I haven't been able to find one, but we should definitely do that soon as people begin to make their decisions

Fingers crossed that it only takes an extra day for them to deliver to Williamsburg!

Status changed today from "File Complete" to "In Review." Has anyone else seen this? How long does it remain "in review?"

Good luck to those that are currently under review! My file went under review on Saturday, January 31st and a decision was rendered on Friday, Feb. 6th! Then I got my acceptance letter in the mail the following Wednesday. The turn around was pretty quick once I was under review!

For those that were already accepted, are y'all attending the ASD on March 21st? If you are attending, are you bring a guest or parent?

Don't feel weird bringing a parent with you to ASD. A lot of people did last year. Just try your best to keep your parent/parents from being "that guy" who asks a million dumb questions. I know I had a ton of questions, and I understand asking them but it usually goes best when the student is asking for themselves. If any of you all have questions about ASD please ask, I went last year and will be there this year.

I am trying to plan the drive down after I get off work on Friday night. Do you remember about what time things started and ended on Saturday? I may just get there really late Friday, but its going to be after work and an eight hour drive. Woof. I also want to be able to check out some possible housing options and the area in general while I am there.

Do you have any housing suggestions that are more townhouse/community style? I would like to stay out of apartments just because it can be hard to judge the noise levels until you're stuck there. I have seen that in general house rentals are decent, but a lot are also in the middle of nowhere.

Have they not sent y'all a schedule for ASD yet? From what I recall, it ended maybe around 2? But I left for lunch and just didn't come back for the afternoon session, so I'm not entirely sure. You're not at all required to stay for the entirety. If you're 8 hours off, I'd really think about if you want to come to it. You honestly will not miss anything. I'm not saying don't come, but don't think it's something vital either. There's also an airport nearby (CAE) if you wanted to look into avoiding a drive.

I'm not sure if the other 1L can speak for townhouses, but where I live has honestly not been bad for noise levels, and it's an apartment highrise building. Granted, I can easily hear when my neighbors are having some stupid argument about leaving something on the counter (f-bombs galore!), but overall, it's quiet enough for me to stay here and study. Where are you looking at house rentals? Feel free to PM me and I can try to help you sort through some of it.

I haven't gotten anything in the mail about it yet. Thank you, that is something to consider if it won't be vital. I haven't heard back about scholarship money yet and was thinking if I hadn't heard by then, I would plan on attending.

If you don't mind sharing, which apartment complex do you live in?

Just in case the schedule hasn't come around yet, it is online here. You'll get all the same information again (and more) during orientation, but it was nice to come up and meet some classmates and current students in advance. However, I personally would not make an 8 hour drive for this alone, but that could just be me!

As far as scholarships, I believe the other 1L in this thread said he received his in March. From what I remember, they did say during ASD last year that most would have their offers soon after then.

153 and 3.7 very nervous...anyone have similar stats and gotten in??
Not sure about the LSAC/snail mail differences, but I hope you hear positive news soon. Try checking Law School Numbers to see if any of your peers or people from past cycles have been admitted with your stats! I always found that helpful.

I'm in the same boat. It says that a decision has been mailed, but that was 8 days ago. I live in Charleston sooo I figured it would be here by now. Getting kind of anxious. I've been working for a law firm for 2 years now and I'm just ready to get back in a classroom.

Does anyone know how they'll be getting in contact with people about scholarships? Or is that in the acceptance letter now if you get one?

It varies by person. I got mine with my acceptance letter last year, and the other 1L on here got it in a separate letter later I believe.

Really hoping to hear something in regards to scholarships ASAP! I'm definitely starting to lean towards a school at this point, but a decent offer from USC as an in-state student could definitely change things...

Try checking Law School Numbers to see if you might expect something coming your way. Of course, it may differ from year to year, but the offers tend to be fairly stable. You can also try calling the admissions office to check in when they might expect to make final offers (likely this month). Fingers crossed for you!

I am also in-state, so if you have any questions about school choice or scholarships, please feel free to message me.

Went under review on February 26. Any idea when I might hear something? GPA and LSAT are 3.01, 169.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
