Hey all! Congrats to all admitted! Another 1L here! (I bet the other current students can even figure out who I am.) I can't really answer questions about applying for in-state tuition, but I'm willing to answer other questions.

Does anyone happen to know how receptive UNC is to scholarship negotiations?

In the past they have not been open to them at all. I haven't heard anything about that changing this cycle.hdaze wrote:Does anyone happen to know how receptive UNC is to scholarship negotiations?
Went complete today, 166 3.3 in-state.

Re: UNC Law c/o 2018 (2014-15 cycle)
Status checker is showing that my application was received; however, the check boxes by my resume, personal statement, & 2 letters of recommendation are not filled in. These were definitely all submitted along with my application. Do I need to resend these documents or is it more likely that they just have not processed all of my information yet to make my file complete? I don't want to bother them when that is likely the reason, but I also do not want to keep myself from going into review by not being proactive. Very, very hopeful for some good news here....would love to attend UNC

Mine was the same before going complete, so I would assume they just have not processed all of the attachments to the application yetbluehose wrote:Status checker is showing that my application was received; however, the check boxes by my resume, personal statement, & 2 letters of recommendation are not filled in. Re: UNC Law c/o 2018 (2014-15 cycle)
For me, they were pretty quick. Only took about 3 weeks from sending in my application to get a decision. I especially appreciate that it also included scholarship info, but am disappointed that they historically have not been open to negotiating.cuboxing25 wrote:is it just me or have they been really slow this year?

It's not just you! I applied on October 30th and still haven't heard anything. GPA and LSAT are above their median, but I'm out of state.cuboxing25 wrote:is it just me or have they been really slow this year?

Today I got an email asking me if they want my app to be held for Feb. LSAT score. But the email started with this sentence: "Yesterday you received an email indicating that your application was complete..."
But yesterday I got no such thing !! Strange...

Has anyone got a feel for what kinds of credentials and backgrounds have gotten the Chancellor's in the past?

I'm also curious about this. Have found very little info online.DrSpaceman wrote:Has anyone got a feel for what kinds of credentials and backgrounds have gotten the Chancellor's in the past?

Really hoping we see some movement tomorrow. Going by LSN, it doesn't look like many have been admitted since 12/18.

My status checker has changed and now all the info at the top is gone. Is this normal or a sign of impending decision?

What does your status checker say? That you've received a decision?bob311 wrote:My status checker has changed and now all the info at the top is gone. Is this normal or a sign of impending decision?

Still says complete. But it had a large paragraph at the top about admissions and everything and now it's all gone. Not a computer bug. Tried 2 computers and 3 browsers. The paragraphs at the top have been gone for me for a while though? I'm pretty sure they were gone since I went complete
