Has anyone else gotten this message? It makes me extremely nervous

I have this same status. It must've been sometime late this evening. I checked around 5 EST and it was still under review. I feel like this might mean a waitlist/denial decision :/
I read the thread from last year & a ton of applicants got this same status. The outcomes were mixed. Some were later denied, some were waitlisted, & I saw one post where someone was admitted with a hefty scholarship, so maybe all hope is not lost! The one common thing was that this typically meant a long wait (1 month-SEVERAL months) before hearing an update. Disheartening, for sure.

Hmm... not what I wanted to hear but glad to be better informed. Thank you!

In via phone call this morning with $12,000/yr top 50% stip. Offered travel arrangements to visit. Stats: 157/3.91, non-URM, above-average softs.
By the way, I never went into the pending final committee decision status referenced above.
Best of luck to all of you!

Are you in state, if you don't mind me asking?
Edit: LOL I didn't see travel arrangements, I'll infer that you're out of state. I should read more closely.

Question regarding PFCD status:
Should I take any sort of action? Call to follow up? Submit LOCI? I desperately want Alabama, and if there is anything I can do to make that possible, I would absolutely do it. Additionally, there is some information that I did not include on my initial application that I think could set me out as an interesting candidate since they seem to be having a problem deciding my fate?

If UA is one of your top choices, I don't think there's anything wrong with submitting a LOCI. I wouldn't call, just because I think that might annoy them.

I don't think a LOCI can hurt. My personal experience and the experience of other 1L's indicates they want to admit people who really want to be there. If you're nearby, setting up a visit is also a good way to demonstrate interest, although you'd want to wait until Jan so you could sit in on a class. The "ties are important" schtick is real.

In today via phone call with 25/yr and offered to pay for travel to tour. Pretty surprised at the turnaround since I applied 6 days ago. Definitely left me with a great impression

Has anyone received anything (letter, email, etc.) after the acceptance phone call? I was under the impression I would be getting an email with information about how to set up a visit, but I wasn't sure if anyone had actually gotten an email like this, or if they are waiting to send out more information after the holidays.

Do you mean specifically about visiting? Or an acceptance package?

I got an acceptance packet about a week after the call. In the package, it will remind you again to email to set up your visit. Martha Griffith called me and said to email her with dates that worked, so if she told you to do that on the call, you can go ahead and do it before you get your packet.

Perfect, thank you! I remember her saying something about emailing her with dates, but I couldn't remember if she was supposed to email me first or not. I'll go ahead and email her!

Interesting. I got a shirt with a re-congratulations note two days ago, but never got a packet or brochures. Hopefully it's waiting for me at my apartment when I get back to school!

They came separately. I got my brochures packet a while back after being accepted a month before that. Might be a timing thing probably based on when your were accepted.

I only see one acceptance on LSN in January so it doesn't look like there's been much movement recently.

I sent my application for Bama in on Sunday, but have yet to receive a username email for status check. Is this normal? Because for my other apps it was usually an immediate email or sent the next morning

I got mine the day after submitting but maybe it's taking longer now that it's later in the cycle? Has anyone else not received the status checker for a while?

I submitted in early December and waited 5 days to get my status checker. I wouldn't worry too much, especially because the lovely people at Alabama are super responsive (or at least, they have been for me).

Checking in!
Applied 12/09 and it has a date change to 1/14 with UR. The only thing is, I can't remember if it had UR before so I'm not sure if it's UR1 or something further along. Either way, hoping for a decision very soon!
Good luck everyone who has yet to hear back!
