I got a call today that I was accepted with a 15k a year merit scholarship. I'm right around their 25% gpa/lsat, so it's what I was expecting. The dean did also mention the travel stipends for admitted students to visit, so that's a for-sure thing if anyone was hazy on that.

Good luck to all!

Got a call yesterday - in with 20k/year merit.
I was in a bus when the Dean called and it was super loud so could not really gather much about the admitted students days. What part of the travels would a stipend cover?

Got an email regarding students' admitted day although I haven't received a formal letter regarding this since I am currently out of the country right now. Does this means I am in for the May program? Where do I get to know if I am being offered for a scholarship as well?

I would call the admissions office. I received a phone call with my offer and scholarship and a couple of days later I received it in the mail. Nothing ever came by email except the admitted students day email. That being said, their office is closed today due to snow.

Those who were accepted, how long from when you were first put under review to getting a decision rendered?

About two days if you apply to May-entry.

I completed on 1/12, got the date changed on 1/22, and received the admission decision on 1/23.

I submitted late in December, right after Christmas. I went under review in the first week of January and I got accepted Wednesday last week. So it's a little bit longer of a wait than the May section but certainly faster than the other universities that I applied to.

Just got the call from the admissions office. In + 42k/year. Pretty excited, and not to get greedy but I'd like to see if they could bump it even higher. Anyone have any luck negotiating $$ thus far?

So I was accepted for May entry and I wanted some guidance on how to prepare since it's in a few months. Also what are the job prospects for 3L's. Lastly, I got a $20,000 scholarship and I was wondering if and how I could negotiate for more.

Do they have an admitted students Facebook page set up yet? I saw they mentioned they would have one, but I didn't see a link to it.

I was also wondering if we'll have the facebook group page. Got admitted to the May program but does anyone here know if I can defer? I am leaning towards the possibility of deferring a year since May is just a few months away.

Got a call from the dean this afternoon. In with 32k per year scholly! Anyone know if they give out stipends to visit campus?

I was admitted for the May Program. Does anyone know how expensive the Alabama is? And what are the rates for apartments in or around the area of the school? I'm budgeting for $1,800 Max.

Anyone know when the next admission roll is coming? I got my application in around mid-jan and am curious what they'll do. I have seen some people with similar stats get pretty good scholarships.

Also I have some questions for the current students on here

1) What are the jobs prospects for those coming out of Cardozo? I would think the job market is very stiff with Fordham and NYU there.
1a) What are the salaries like? Debt anxiety is killing me.

Depends on what you want:

- NYU beats Cardozo in Big Law placement, no question. I believe Fordham beats Cardozo too, but not by a lot.
- However, Cardozo tends to beat both NYU and Fordham in PI / Criminal Law placement (DA/PD offices).
- I also know a lot of people with IP gigs, but I am unversed in Cardozo's placement there compared to other schools.

As for salaries, they're clearly lower in the PI / Criminal Law field as compared against Big Law. And given the stacked lottery you'd be playing with your life banking on Big Law out of Cardozo, there is no reason to go to Cardozo with anything less than a near full ride (assuming you don't have stacks of savings somewhere that can help you stay out of debt).

Status is still complete and under review

but my requirements have all changed to:

immunization form
meningitis vaccine
deans cert
final transcript

what's this mean?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
