Mine has been "complete" with no date for a couple days now. Also blank mailing/fee boxes, req box filled though. Just wondering if other people have this...

I believe the mailings is for documents that are mailed to admissions (possibly coming from them as well). I sent in my ED contract through snail mail so that is taking up the space there. The Fee's are probably for fee's we have to pay if/upon being accepted.

There are some admissions in LSN; has anyone here been admitted so far?

I just got the call about an hour ago, I was accepted. She said the admissions packet will be put in the mail tomorrow.

I'm accepted as of this morning! I applied for the public interest scholarship but haven't heard anything yet. Not sure what the timetable is, but I imagine they'll wait until they can evaluate the entire applicant pool. Thus, I don't expect to hear anything until December LSAT scores come in.

seriously...

but congrats to those accepted! I have a question, did your status checker ever say "under review"? or did it just just jump from "application complete" to "decision made"

Mine's been "application complete" since late October. I'm ED though.

I know last year BU did a desperation heave with massive scholarships at the end. In my case, at least, it was too late. Admissions are an art, not a science. I wouldn't put too much stock into a few point distinction in LSAT median. Doesn't really effect you as a student.

Meaning that they increased their financial offering as it got closer to deadline? Any idea how much?

For me personally, they increased the scholarship from $15k/yr to $35k/yr.

Oh wow, that's fantastic. How do you like it there, if you ended up attending?

and by few point distinction, are you referring to the changing median for the school overall on a year to year basis?

I ended up staying in Portland and attending Lewis & Clark. You're exactly right, I meant the changing median. I am not trying to fly in the face of everything preached on TLS, but LSAT median isn't really the metric you want to be looking at when you're considering a school. It matters a lot to those applying, post-admissions it matters to no one (other than to the school's ranking, and miles may vary on how much even that matters).
