Re: Tulane C/O 2018
Hey all! I applied 2/13, went complete 2/20 and was accepted 2/26 with 35k a year!! I was wondering if anyone has had any success with negotiating scholarship money? I was offered a full ride to Northeastern which is lower ranked but is better known for public law which is what I intend to go into. I'm wondering if its even worth it to try to negotiate my money here though if Tulane raised their offer I might have my decision made...

I'm wondering the same! Also received a fairly decent offer from Tulane, but would love to negotiate for more. I recently was admitted to Baylor with a full-tuition scholarship, but to be honest I am too terrified to attend due to all the horror stories and negative feedback, so I'm hopeful that Tulane may negotiate with that and some other scholarship offers, as well.Jennabean1126 wrote:Hey all! Has anyone has tried (successfully or unsuccessfully) with Tulane?

Checking in. Received acceptance email today, with 35k.
I submitted my app on 2/18 and went complete on 3/2 (when my Feb. LSAT score was released).
Feel free to PM me for stats. Congrats to everyone else who got in and good luck to those waiting.

Waitlisted this morning >75th LSAT slightly less than 25th GPA. Does anyone know if people are usually successful getting off their wait list. Tulane was probably my top choice until the email this morning.

Got my scholly bumped up a bit. Gotta decide between 25k to Tulane or 32k scholly to Miami. Yikes. At least I'll be warm, no matter where I go!

Visited the school today and definitely loved it, now just to decide between a full-ride at LSU or 13k a year at Tulane and man is it tough. Hopefully I'll see some of ya'll in the fall.

Re: Tulane C/O 2018
Right now I am between 42.5k/yr at Tulane or full tuition at WUSTL. Waiting to see if tulane will raise my scholarship to be more competitive with WUSTL. The lst job reports for tulane scares me so I really want to go in with as little debt as possible. I live in Nola and love it hear and want to practice here, so then again WUSTL doesnt really make a lot of sense either but it is a top 20 for free.... Sigh... Got into ut too which feels like a good middle ground but my scholarship there just wasn't enough.

Re: Tulane C/O 2018
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure WUSTL offers an exchange/ correspondence type deal where you can choose to study where you want for years 2-3 I think...it's worth asking about if you're on the fence. I'm having a hard time deciding between Tulane and Iowa at this point. I live near Tulane and would love to go there bc it's close to family, etc. but Iowa is better ranked and better job outcomes on lst also...now will that transfer back, idk? It's a tough thing to decide, but if I were you I would find out more ab WUSTL and what their options are. Good Luck!Bubbles1012 wrote:Right now I am between 42.5k/yr at Tulane or full tuition at WUSTL. Waiting to see if tulane will raise my scholarship to be more competitive with WUSTL. Got in today as well. International from Canada, but only offered 10k a year. Sent a email negotiating scholly, but at the moment at 10k, most likely will have to withdraw.

Re: Tulane C/O 2018
So wasn't initially thinking about Tulane due to the cost/the fact I'm a splitter, but they hit me up a few days ago saying go ahead and submit an application and we'll get back to you in a week since we're in a dead period. Went ahead and submitted an application figuring why not and got accepted 3 days later with a 25k scholarship; needless to say I'm completely shocked and have no idea what I'm doing now. Was originally going to stick with my state's cheap regional school that's at the bottom rungs of T2. Absolutely love the idea of New Orleans even though it's been forever since I visited and I love Tulane's history/sports program. Anyone have any insights on the school? Definitely planning on visiting in a couple of weeks.

I've got til May 1st, definitely going to put down a deposit to save my seat until I can visit the campus in May, seems like a great school/opportunity/location.BasilHallward wrote:I put down my deposit! anybody else??justabitunusual wrote:Me too Basil...@baseball... it must feel awesome to know where you're going!
