Hmm must be a new thing, it definitely wasn't on the app last year. Usually those are like a page/few paragraphs. I gotta admit it'd be hard to come up with anything more than "Good job prospects, good schollies, and want to work in Chicago." No one is coming here for the sports or weather. I'd talk about the Chicago program, they'd probably like that.

I assumed that every school had an option for one. UIUC is my top choice, assuming I get a scholarship. I currently live right outside of Champaign (and have most of my life) and attended for undergrad, so I think I have a few more compelling reasons to attend UIUC than most applicants.....

If its longer than one page, you're doing too much.

Those are the things you should talk about then.

509 is up http://www.law.illinois.edu/content/pdf ... R-2014.pdf

Medians are 3.43/161
97% Receiving Scholarships*
18k/yr Average Award*
Note those scholly numbers don't include C/O '17 which I think is higher.

Transfer Median is 3.55 which is super high

GL to everyone!

Any idea if "full tuition" in this data includes getting the 3k per/ year in fees? Trying to figure out how 0 full rides were given out to the c/o 2016 when it seems like there were so many given out to the c/o 2017.

I think the "full rides" weren't technically full rides because they were a few thousand dollars short of full tuition. There were a lot of $40k/year schollies and in my mind that's a full ride even though it technically isn't.
Just like the Northwestern ED isn't technically a full ride, just pretty darn close to it.

Submitted! Throwing out a bunch of applications. Chicago is my goal, so UIUC is a great choice for the right $$.

Above both 75th % for LSAT and GPA. Scholarship will depend on whether you pay in state or out of state tuition.

Glad to see th continue to hand out money. It's a public school and should be affordable.

The email didn't say the exact amount, just said "full tuition scholarship." Their website says tuition (non-resident) is $46,000, so I'm guessing it covers all three years - $138,000?

In via Email as well, 40K a year. For those offered "full" scholarships is this the amount you received?

Also looks they are offering a travel stipend up to $400 for everyone, even IL Residents. Congrats to the other admits!

Admitted via email. Disappointed in scholarship though. Too bad, Illinois is now less of really good possibility. Anyone have insight on successful negotiations?
