FYI: solicited Penn and was told they will be conducting their first CRS query this week for merit-based waivers. Fingers crossed that they'll hit our inboxes soon!

Alright so I'm in a predicament, and it probably shouldn't be. My Diversity statement is a page and a paragraph double-spaced. And Penn says the optional essays should be 1 page. Do I rewrite my DS specifically for Penn?

ETA: If I change the font to 11, it fits on one page. Is this acceptable?

If it's just one paragraph over the limit, you can probably restructure a few sentences and reduce wordiness in a few places to get it all on one page without changing everything.
It's been edited down from around 2 pages.

yes - all mine are in 11 pt font. Also if you are not alreay, TNR is usually smaller than other fonts.

Also, I didn't even notice this limit and my DS is over a page...soooo idk what i'm going to do about that. 1pg double spaced is kinda a ridiculous limit IMO.

Same boat. Didn't notice, submitted. Honestly, I feel like if people ding you for going a paragraph over on a personal subject, they're not people you want to be spending 3 years with.

I have my PS and my optional essay exactly 2pgs and 1pg respectively in Word 2013. When I look at the LSAC application preview PDF, the PS spills into a third page and the optional spills into a second. Should I be worried? And even if the adcomms open my attachments as word docs when they actually look at them, I'm kinda scared because one time I opened my PS and optional on my school's library computer in Word and they both spilled into an extra page even though they were fine on my comp and fine on another library comp (Apparently this can happen because of various computers' printer settings). Should I worry, or am I being dumb?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
