I applied on October 21st and I received confirmation from LSAC afterwards, but didn't get an email from SMU about checking my application status. I'm not sure what could have happened?

I had this issue with a different school. Shoot them an email and they should confirm they received your application and send you a status check link.

Don't get greedy. They used to call people to tell them the news and it was all Southern and proper. They also didn't release decisions until the end of January at the earliest.

Unlike the others, my SC changed to accepted yesterday, but I just got a call from a 3L working with admissions about an hour and a half ago congratulating me and asking if I had any questions and told me my packet is going in the mail today - Very nice conversation

Packet came today. 24k a year scholarship with a "good standing" stip! Definitely didn't expect that

I had flip flopped on SMU for a while. Visited and loved it, but wanted to try and get out of Texas. Have lots of reach applications out, but due to a new career direction, if I get in with the right $$$, it would be really hard to not be at SMU next year.

What other states are you looking at? My whole family is in California. Part of me wants to head back that way, but the job prospects are just frightening...

Application completed since 10/30 with scores above the medians for both LSAT and GPA. Confused to why I haven't heard back yet. Anyone have any ideas?

I applied to all T14 schools, really wanted to get to Chicago or New York, and it's still on the table, but I need to really keep debt down now due to a new career direction.
