It would be pretty tough for me to choose New Haven over California. Yale is an amazing school, do not get me wrong, but it has gotta be easier to study when the sun is shining year round.djfududeman wrote:Picked SLS over HLS today. Then I realized that's like saying I'll go to SLS unless I roll snake eyes twice in a row.Whatevaaa. Yale, do what you will!

Go to Stanford. You might as well withdraw from the waitlist at Yale, too
they do not verify individual items, however i did get a waitlist form confirmation last week. eta: they did not, however, respond to my prof's email with a new LOR (as of last week, anyway)bbkk wrote:So... we get no confirmation emails or anything like that after we sent in our LOCI & the waitlist form, right?
I'm getting paranoid now and afraid that they didn't get my documents.
When did you send your stuff in? I haven't gotten a confirmation yet eitherwealtheow wrote:they do not verify individual items, however i did get a waitlist form confirmation last week. eta: they did not, however, respond to my prof's email with a new LOR (as of last week, anyway)bbkk wrote:So... we get no confirmation emails or anything like that after we sent in our LOCI & the waitlist form, right?

nope, just that you withdraw from the schools to which you have been accepted.billydaduck wrote:I have a general question.
Isn't it true for most schools at the top (I can't speak to each specifically) that a deposit or sometimes second deposit is a commitment that you have withdrawn from all other waitlists? I ask because I see a lot of individuals depositing at Harvard which I have no knowledge of and am curious what Harvard's policy is. I've been working this out with schools I have been considering depositing it and some forbid staying on a waitlist.

i'd encourage you to check except yale seems vehemently opposed to confirming anything... i would give it a few more days. these didn't even start trickling out until after may 1 last year so i wouldn't worry too much yet.dnptan wrote:Sent mine in April 15 and no responsebbkk wrote:Just got my confirmation email as well.
