I wonder if any of the other students that were priority waitlisted got the message. I myself was put on regular and I know we haven't heard anything back...

Ya looks like that priority list was def priority. Regular as well and haven't gotten any emails...

I called admissions early last week.
I asked, "Has there been much movement on the wait list?"
She said, "No, the next deposit is early June and after that we will see more."
I said, "Okay, thank you"

It sounds like they have less slots to fill than last year. Either that, or they are trying a completely different strategy in terms of moving their waitlist to fill spots in the actual classes. They could be waiting so they can more precisely add students to their classes perhaps?

very interesting. from previous threads it seems usually acceptances off of the priority list are delivered by phone call, usually at about 7 pm eastern time. would be really curious to find out which list the accepted applicant was on, was it a phone call/email and their numbers. Congrats though that is great, you will love Atlanta.

Clutch Co pranked waitlisters i believe. If i am wrong I'm sorry but it is their first post ever, 93k is an odd amount (Emory seems to give aid in even multiples, usually 14, 18, 24, 28, 32, 36k) I haven't heard of anyone with 31k a yr, and it is strange to me that a WL person would get a 64% tuition scholarship. Plus, no response to PMs and posts. I sincerely hope i am wrong because a lot of people on this board are extremely invested in Emory, and this wait has been awful I am sure, so this would not be a funny "joke"

I can confirm. Dean Rosenzweig informed me yesterday that NOBODY has been accepted off of the wait list as of yet.

It might be someone's lucky day as yesterday I gave up my spot to go to the University of Virginia.

Hello everyone! I've been monitoring this thread but haven't really posted. So checking in now.
I'm on regular waitlist.

I don't know clutch_co personally so can't 100% vouch that he/she isn't lying. But I did pm him/her shortly after I saw the post about being accepted with such a nice scholly (esp since none of us heard ANY movement from Emory)

Not to share too much info, in case clutch_co prefers to not share it publicly, but clutch_co responded to my pm saying that he/she applied very late and didn't get any waitlist email. From the sounds of it, Emory just accepted him/her right off the bat.

PS. I did notice a recently updated lsn profile with similar stats as clutch_co.

Wish us all the best of luck!!! I have no idea what Emory is doing this year? Do they not have open seats to fill in with waitlisters??
