Initially accepted, but withdrew this week, hopefully one of you all get in there. Also, my friend (11-12 cycle) was accepted from the WL in July, so it's likely a long process, but has potential if you're willing to stick it out. Best of luck to you all.

yeah I did too. I just responded with a nice little blurb and attaching my transcript from finishing up my MS..

what is the verdict about scholarship off the waitlist at GW? Are they gonna offer any or are all WL acceptances expected to be offered at sticker?

I just received the update email as well. I presume that scholarship offers will fall in line with those made in the regular admission cycle, i.e. if your numbers would have garnered a scholarship in the first round, they will net you one coming off the wait-list. But that is conjecture.

judging from previous WL threads, they seem to give good scholarship money so WL admits should be fine.

do you think seats will open up? the email said over the next 2 months so I dont know what to make of it (i.e not sure if class is full)

+1 I think they would treat it like you were a regular admit. Hopefully seats open up for us!

According to last year's thread, the first WL movement was Monday, April 29th.

just wanted to bring this post back up ^^^ -- I'm a little confused by it all too because there is no waitlist movement yet and also I haven't particularly seen anyone writing "withdrew today" etc. close to 2nd deadlines.......

My guess is that a select number of people in the 163 -166 an 3.3 - 3.6 range will be admitted with max of 30K in scholarship.

In my status checker I have something under "mailings" dated 6/3 (today), but the description is blank. I didn't get a waitlist update email today. My status (decision made) and date (3/27) are the same.

Does anyone else have this?

I contacted admissions and they resent the e-mail to me. It asked me to respond by June 6th. Is that considered a good sign?

Not sure... it seems like there were two versions. ...but it probably does not mean anything.

They might also plan to narrow the waitlist down to see who is interested as they move forward.
