Wow. My Berkeley waitlist email was sent to my spam, and I haven't been on TLS. This is pretty exciting! I'm glad I didn't know until now. I would have been so anxious for a phone call the past 5 days. ha. Congrats to those who have gotten off the WL. I'm not expecting anything. I doubt they'll dip that far into the WL.

Berkeley is not making any WL offers after last week's batch. Still in 1st quartile. Sorry for the disappointing news. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Has anyone called to confirm this? Also it seemed like several previous posters may have or will be turning down the acceptance from Cal for money elsewhere. Thoughts?

Call them! For what it's worth the facebook group is still shy of 270 which is the class size i hear they're aiming for

There's 230 ppl in the group atm but there are also upperclassmen in it. That 270 sounds about right though. C/o 2015 had around 260 students and c/o 2016 had roughly 280.

Well, I don't know what they're doing or what's happening but at this point I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this law school. I've bee on this wait list since 3/13. It would have taken just a bit of human decency for them to at least dismiss the 3rd and 4th quartiles.

Information I posted was indeed from a phone call with the admission office's administrative assistant. I wanted to speak to dean Tom but was told that he was out of office for the next several days. One other adcom member is on vacation until school starts, judging by her voicemail greetings.

About accepted candidates turning down offers, only two TLS posters reported receiving offers, and only one reported he or she might turn it down. I am not sure how reliable an indicator Facebook group size is. If anyone has info on previous fb group size (before orientation) vs class size, it would be great to hear.

The bottom line to me is that, at this time of the cycle, if the class is not full, they would surely be making calls. No calls means no good. I am in 1st quartile, and Berkeley is my dream school, but I have to be realistic too. I sympathize with all of you who are in the same shoe as I am.

Normally the FB group page is much larger, but they're probably using a different sign up system for it this cycle. So no real precedents. It looks like there are some people on LSN who were accepted off the wait-list and withdrew as well. Admissions also said they were full just before they sent out the wait list email... for whatever that's worth.

SO. A friend just got accepted to Stanford off of the waitlist today, and she'd originally been slated to attend Berkeley this fall. Not sure if Boalt already secured a replacement beforehand, but it sounds like there might be spot...good luck everyone!

i haven't either. Could mean they're going down the list and it's coming tomorrow, or we actually haven't been released yet...
