Haha I know they can make a decision the same day they go under review. I guess when we hear back depends on how our apps look compared to others :/mx23250 wrote:Mine just went 'in review' as of today. Hoping for a nice christmas gift from admissions

Really?? I wouldn't even expect a decision for at least a couple weeks, but that would be really nice to have an immediate decision within a few days. Have you heard back yet?Luchi91 wrote:Haha I know they can make a decision the same day they go under review. UT told me that's how they function. I'm sure most schools operate this way as well. Generally, there's a delay in receiving an update because they want to make sure they made a great decision, especially if they claim to review apps holistically.mx23250 wrote:Really?? I wish I heard back. My app changed to "File In Review" yesterday. So hopefully by early January I'll find out.

Thanks for the insight! Goodluck! Hopefully we'll both be receiving good news soon.Luchi91 wrote:UT told me that's how they function. I'm sure most schools operate this way as well. Will we get emailed or will we have to check our status?
The answer will help me to decide whether or not I should keep checking my online status lol

So... basically we have until tomorrow if we are going to hear back before the break, right?

Has anyone received their acceptance letter yet? Still waiting. I was hoping to have it by the end of the week but I'm in Washington so if no one in Texas has got it yet I doubt that'll happen.
