Um, yeah. It means that they want to protect their yield by pulling the most committed applicants. And it means that they will start doing so relatively soon.bieberhole69 wrote:I got the email.

Got it as well! Do we think they have actually released anyone from the waitlist like they said in the email, or are they just trying to spare our bruised and battered egos?

Re: Michigan Waitlist 2013
i went through last year's thread and there was a similar email sent out at one point though no one had reported on TLS of being dropped from the waitlist (though that certainly doesn't mean no one was actually released, just amongst TLSers there weren't any 'releases') so there's that. haven't seen any WL, Rejected on LSN either.amitty1019 wrote:Got it as well! Re: Michigan Waitlist 2013
Nevermind, got it.
I was. I figured I'd just be honest and let them know that I'd need financial aid to attend. I figure it's not worth wasting their time, having them let me in and then telling them I can't pay sticker. I'm also planning on reapplying next cycle, and getting in and then turning them down for reasons I should have warned them about in advance probably doesn't look great for me for the next go-around.Rlabo wrote:got the email as well. anyone thinking of asking for financial aid?

Got the e-mail. Sent a response e-mail with a typo followed up by an apology. I hope they understand! I'm just really excited about this and would pay double sticker for Michigan!

I was expressing my incredulity that anyone would be willing to pay double sticker for Michigan (or anywhere that's not HYS, really).DaRascal wrote:Huh?TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Wut.DaRascal wrote:Got the e-mail. You can't have many adventures when you're attempting to deal with an objectively unserviceable debt load.DaRascal wrote:

Re: Michigan Waitlist 2013
Alright so I got the email.
"...we, at Michigan Law have released many of our waitlist participants, and so have a core group of strong candidates remaining - among whom you number."
Have they really released people off the waitlist this early in the summer?
On second thought, now that I'm typing this, I'm realizing they probably mean they've released the people that have asked to be released.
