Do we think WLs will have a lot of movement this cycle?

Re: The Waitlist Championships
We can probably assume at least a little more so than usual, given the decreased number of applications. Or at least this is what I tell myself.MASSattack1 wrote:Do we think WLs will have a lot of movement this cycle?

25 re-submissions through the WUSTL Easy App don't each count individually.wannabelawstudent wrote:I just sent out about 25 apps today for the sole purpose of claiming this title.

Wow, when it rains it pours. Georgetown, apparently synchronized slamming with Michigan. I win (or, at least, I'm the latest to tie for the win).

I wouldn't even be eligible to win this if I had been waitlisted everywhere I applied haha.

Re: The Waitlist Championships
Up to 9 now. I got Boston University's waitlist notification this afternoon. So my official "waitlist" list (with one school still to hear from) is:gobo wrote:8. American Universitygobo wrote:1. Minnesota
2. George Mason
3. Iowa
4. Uconn
5. Temple
6. Illinois
7. Maryland
I still have 4 pending. If there is a tie, do we have a cage match?
That's right, I got another one. Get the cage ready!! I still have a couple of schools pending. I never thought I would be excited about getting on the waitlist! Even after eight this thread makes it a thrill!
1. Minnesota
2. George Mason
3. Iowa
4. Uconn
5. Temple
6. Illinois
7. Maryland
8. American
9. BU
I'm a reverse splitter with some good (I think) softs. So I'm not too surprised with all the waitlists.

Can you confirm that's a WL from Stanford and not a typo? I think you're the only one who has reported a WL from Stanford so far.laotze wrote:Wow, when it rains it pours. Georgetown, apparently synchronized slamming with Michigan. I win (or, at least, I'm the latest to tie for the win).

I honestly believed I was a shoe in there. When I found out I got WL there I was ready to withdraw.....except they still havent sent me a formal letter/ email that informed me of this. So I am not going to bother.Crowing wrote:You've got good enough numbers to avoid dings at all these schools yet got WLed by NYLS??? Re: The Waitlist Championships
I was, but it's rather moot in light of the DLS my status changed to on Friday. Rejection letter received Monday. Down to seven WLs now, so losing the competition but getting closer to winning my sanity back.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:Can you confirm that's a WL from Stanford and not a typo? 4. Washington and LEE
It appears as if Washington and Lee gets skymiles every time they waitlist somebody. They could send their whole admissions staff to Tahiti by the time this is all said and done.

Re: The Waitlist Championships
Alright, my cycle is officially complete. In the wise words of Macho Man Randy Savage, "Oh Yeah!" 9 waitlists total. Thank you all for making my waitlist bombardment something other than utter frustration. I hope your waitlists are extremely active and each of you get into the school you most desire.
For now, I'll take the belt and patiently wait for a challenger! I'm still secretly (or not so secretly) holding out for a cage match!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
