I believe the definition of a splitter is dependent on the school, but generally it's GPA below median and LSAT above median. Certain numbers, such as High LSAT and middling to low GPA are just outright considered splitters, (such as my oh-so-obnoxious 3.5/179). For every school to which I applied, I am above their LSAT median, yet I am below their GPA median (in fact, I'm below their GPA 25th). I do think that I belong here, thank you very much.

I don't understand what is so sexy about being a splitter that everyone wants to self-define that way. It seems like a silly point to argue. If it is just someone who is above one median but below the other then nearly every applicant is either a splitter or a reverse splitter at schools that they are targeting.

The 75/25 rule makes more sense, but GPA > 3.4 just isn't very relevant to people with GPA < 3.3, since that is an informal floor for several schools. Is it mean and unfair to exclude people with higher GPAs? Maybe, but then why limit the other threat to those applying to T20? Why not just make a truly inclusive thread for all people applying to all schools?

I only thought about those places b/c I noticed that some of y'all w/ similar stats go into some of those places, and I didn't really consider them Do any of y'all think it's worth it??? I've sent in a bunch of apps, like, until the LSAC started charging me for the CAS reports I've fee waivers for pretty much everywhere through the LSAC, but they still charge for CAS reports..

Lol at worrying about spending $ while giving yourself fewer opportunities for scholarship $$$$ on your way to spending $$$$$$ to go to lawl school.
