Re: Brooklyn Law c/o 2016
I submitted my application around 1/7 and its said Ready for Review since 1/10 and my status date still says 1/10....any idea why? Is it because I submitted late? I also sent an update of my transcript so maybe that messed things up a bit, but I was hoping for at least a status DATE update.

Mine has been in review since early October. Give it another month or two before you start getting alarmed.

Just curious to see if anyone received an acceptance package in the mail? And if the packet includes scholarship info?

Yep came in a few days ago. As far as scholarship info goes, letter just stated I was in consideration for a merit scholarship and "should receive a decision from our Scholarship Committee within the next few weeks..."OscarVeal wrote:Just curious to see if anyone received an acceptance package in the mail? Re: Brooklyn Law c/o 2016
I super want to go to this school but I don't think my chances are that great.....although my GPA is above their 75th at 3.56 percentile my LSAT is at 154 (and yes, before anyone asks, I DID retake and due to some pretty nutty circumstances ended up doing worse, but I explained what went wrong in the LSAT score section. Basically I choked on a section and almost left the test, but then powered through and took a chance on it being the experimental. Which is wasn't.) But I have some pretty good softs and solid writing skills so...maybe? :/

aww man. Looks like we're in the same boat. I hope we get it! I'm glad I applied instead of getting scared by the numbers since the website says for people who are close to take a stab at it. Maybe we'll get lucky haha.

Anybody else try calling the admissions office and get a disconnected number? I've called 718-780-7906 a few times with no luck.

I got the same update, but did not receive the mailing. I'm not even sure if I received the December mailing either.lawgal2016 wrote:Status checker just updated with a E-News January mailing...anyone receive this mailing?

got the same mailing update today too. False hope on a possible decision. Any time BLS sends me something I get jumpy, I am very hopeful for good news from them. They're definitely a top contender for me.

Is this not the acceptance, denial, and waitlist forum for Brooklyn class of 2016? Now I'm just confused. Confused, but still psyched.

Oops, I guess I should have been more specific. baddabing27, I wasn't referring to you. I had actually posted something earlier accidentally in this forum and later edited it -- so I was referring to my original post. Sorry for the confusion! And congrats on your acceptance!baddabing27 wrote:Is this not the acceptance, denial, and waitlist forum for Brooklyn class of 2016? Now I'm just confused. Confused, but still psyched.

Re: Brooklyn Law c/o 2016
Congrats to everyone accepted!
Applied 1/16, went complete 1/17, admitted 1/31.
3.38 GPA/161 LSAT, good softs
Hoping for a decent scholarship, this will be impossible for me without it given the cost of living in Brooklyn. (Can't live in student housing as I have two dogs.)
Anyone know if scholarships are based solely on scores, or do things like work experience/PS/etc. help in any way?
