Much more likely, I'm one part of UVA's first WL decisions from way back in the cycle, and they're just going chronologically. I'm not getting my hopes up any; you shouldn't get your hopes down either. If there's anything I've learned through the law school app process, it's to be a friggin' Vulcan emotionally. It's just easier that way.

Much more likely, I'm one part of UVA's first WL decisions from way back in the cycle, and they're just going chronologically. I'm not getting my hopes up any; you shouldn't get your hopes down either. If there's anything I've learned through the law school app process, it's to be a friggin' Vulcan emotionally. It's just easier that way.

Just got the same e-mail. It seems likely that they are sending it out to everyone in random order - I was waitlisted in early January.

I just got a similar email this morning, but there was no mention of sending my application to the committee for review. The way the email was worded made it sound like they are hoping some candidates will withdraw in response.

Mine did not explicitly say that my application is being re-reviewed right now - said that they are beginning to re-review people and want to know our interest in uva, etc. I'm sure we all got the same e-mail though. doubtful they'd send people different e-mails, unless they are hiding that they do, in fact, rank their wait list. who knows...

LSAT over 75%, GPA craterishly below 25%. Definitely not a top candidate/YP possibility.

You both have a 169LSAT. They may be worried that they can't keep their 170 median so they are targeting 169s instead.

your point is still well taken. They might want higher lsats, so they are starting at 169+ or something.
