I got a decision rendered on 12/18 and the envelope with my scholarship info, admit days, FAQs, etc. came on 12/20.
I currently live in SD, so it might take a little longer if you're not in the area.
you were right! just got my package- 30k over 3 years! yay!

Wait, so do you mean 30k each year? Or 10k each year.

Also, are you guys talking about the "grants" they offer? I know grants are different from schollys, but im still a little confused. Do the people who they offered these grants actually get them, applying through Fafsa?

I could not imagine having to spend the 60k a year to attend this school. It seams really absurd.

Mine is a scholarship through the school, not fafsa as I have yet to submit through them.

I was rereading my letters and just came across the part: "In order to facilitate your visit, I am pleased to offer you a travel allowance of $400"

I didn't notice this before until now. Has anyone used the allowance? If so was it fairly easy to access? And is this common from other law schools?

For those of you who've received a decision, how long did it take for your status to change from "application received - file complete" to "decision rendered."

My file was complete on 1/2/13 and I'm impatient.

Thanks!

So I just noticed the stips on my scholarship were top 50% of the section. Really, USD?

Really? How exactly did they word it? Mine says "within the top 50% of the full time division with which you entered." Does that mean the section?

I was wondering how did you come about finding the stipulations for your scholarship? I checked the folder San Diego sent me and the forms say nothing about stips. I was given $75,000 for the next 3 years.

Yes it does say that.

Ok, thank you! I must have misread it when I was going over it. When I first got the acceptance I didn't think anything of it. For some reason I reread it today and could've sworn I read "section," but you're right, it is indeed exactly what you wrote. Phew. I don't know what I was thinking before.

Have those who received admit packets had status check updates before getting them?

You get a status checker update saying there was a "decision rendered."

How does one come to know about status checker updates: through e-mail from USD or by manually logging into their JD application status site?
