So I went onto status checker today. Under mailings it says decision letter, which for me, was sent out on the 29th. And at the top of the page, it now says that I should be receiving it in 14 days.

156 3.47. Debating on withdrawing since Drexel gave me more than half tuition and I don't think Nova will beat that now that I've been waitlisted. Plus I think Drexel has more to offer in the area I want to get into (entrepreneurship & IP).

better schools = more to offer. Individualized programs usually don't matterSoJerz13 wrote:156 3.47. I realize that, but Nova isn't ranked much higher than Drexel, especially considering how new Drexel Law is.AbbeyRoadLaw wrote:better schools = more to offer. Not here to argue or steal the thread. Congrats to all who were accepted and best of luck to those on the waitlist!

Just got accepted via voicemail
I'm really surprised at how quickly I heard back from them. My application was complete 11/30 and went under review on 12/3. They said that the status checker won't be updated until this evening. This is my first acceptance so I'm really excited!

Re: Villanova 2016
You're right that specialty programs aren't a good way to choose schools, but choosing Drexel over Villanova because Drexel is giving you significantly more money is the right move (the better move is to retake but putting that aside for now). Forget the rankings. Villanova c/o 2011 had 52% employment nine months after graduation while Drexel had 43%. Villanova's better, but is that margin worth $100K or more? Anyway I will bow out since this is the acceptances/waitlists/denials forum but saw this and wanted to comment.AbbeyRoadLaw wrote:better schools = more to offer. Well you weren't waitlisted or rejected, so there's obviously something they like there. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself, we're far from over with the process.zoomzoom88 wrote:i guess now i'm just annoyed that ppl w much lower numbers than myself are getting accepted. i dont understand what I did/didn't do on my app that caused them to hold it.

I'm planning on sending my app in by the end of the week at the latest. I heard through the grapevine that Villanova tends to grant fee waivers if solicited. Has anyone done this?

Yes. Just email admissions and ask for one. Give them you #s and LSAC Account #magp90 wrote:I'm planning on sending my app in by the end of the week at the latest. I heard through the grapevine that Villanova tends to grant fee waivers if solicited. Has anyone done this?

Re: Villanova 2016
Submitted my application yesterday! Fingers crossed! Villanova is one of my top-two choices for Philly, so hopefully there's good news.
It still says it's incomplete, though, so I hope it doesn't take too long for it to register everything.

How long did it take for the status checker to reflect a "complete" application for you guys?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
