Loving the ever so slight drop in GPA median and 75th LSAT drop!!!
And that's with a reduction of ~20% in class size!!
Great news for applicants this cycle IMO
Thanks for posting, Miller! Will update OP

"No, we will not notify you. Your LSAC Activity Update will be helpful in this matter. Your application becomes complete upon receipt of your Law School Report, if all mandatory attachments have been submitted. We will notify you of mandatory attachments that are missing. We will, however, send you a confirmation email letting you know when your application has been processed provided you have included your email address in your application."
My UT application on LSAC reads "completed" (since this past Sat) but I have not received a confirmation from their admissions office.
What's the typical lag time from going complete with LSAC to getting confirmation from UT?
Nevermind. Just got the email.

In general, it's a better time to be applying and a worse time to be graduating.

Hey guys, I wish everyone the best of luck gaining admission.... and $cholar$hip

I noticed that the new 2012 ABA employment stats look even better for UT than the 2011 stats did (though I am making some assumptions about the reliability of ABA reported data). When visiting the MINK law fair, UT had 2012 ABA employment handouts that showed arround 80% of student graduates securing full-time long-term bar-pass-requiring employment (compared to 2011's 75%).

I'm part of that smaller 2015 class at UT. I feel for you guys at this point in the cycle...I would never want to go through the stress of not knowing where I'd be again. It's kinda funny, after only 2 months of law school, this whole application thing is just a distant, unpleasant memory. T-14 doesn't really mean anything to me anymore (never mind the fact that the closest T-14 to Texas is in Chicago 1200 miles away). UT is awesome. Good luck with applications, and make sure you visit Austin if you get in!

Does anyone know anything about submitting materials after your initial application? I want to apply by the early decision deadline, mainly because I have a fee waiver, but am having a hard time getting my second LOR in (the professor is "super busy" and takes forever to answer my emails) I was wondering if I submit on the 1st with only one letter if I could send my second letter in later? Or do you think it would even matter since they are optional anyway? I'm at 168, 3.68 right now so I feel like I'm pretty borderline ..

Based on previous cycles, shouldn't some folks be hearing back sometime this week?

Good to know!
The following is from UT Law Admissions webpage:
"Please note: UT School of Law has extended its Early Decision deadline to November 8 due to Hurricane Sandy’s negative effects and consequences on LSAC’s operations."

Got a phone call tonight - just got in! They said that I'd be getting a scholarship offer in the mail in the next couple of weeks. Really excited. Hook 'em. (For those of you using this as reference: I had 3.79/174, in-state)

What? Oh damn, I should have checked this thread (or their website) first. I thought ED was over and just submitted regular. Do you think I can email them and ask them if I can modify that? :/
Anyways, checking in. Big reach mostly because my numbers are a bit borderliner (3.92, 168) and I am not a Texas resident (international applicant). Good luck everyone!

checking in! Just submitted tonight and app is showing complete! Nervous because I am definitely borderline (168, 3.68 non-resident) but hoping to hear back soon, anticipation will kill me haha

Just so you guys know, I was a 3.84/169 from out of state, and I got in last year with in-state tuition plus $11,500 a year. I know more than a few people in my class with LSATs in the mid 160s. I know different classes have different numbers, but 168/high gpa doesn't sound very borderline to me.

Just opened the UT status checker and it says "admission granted 02 November, 2012" at the bottom. No call or email yet though...
