Maybe you should call to confirm receipt? I got booted off the waitlist today for failing to respond to their waitlist email in April - which I did and received an acknowledgement of receipt back from the office in April. I called to correct the mixup today.

I'd rather be safe than sorry if you really want NYU.

Same thing happened to me, though I emailed them and said it's fine to take me off the WL since I wasn't going to matriculate this fall anyway.

People who have gotten in off the WL so far:

How soon did they ask you to give them an answer?

Just trying to judge when the rest of us might hear about a second wave of acceptances

Yup I submitted it back in January cause I needed it for the other schools I was accepted to. Hopefully you'll get that back soon!

Nope, they just send you an award letter (or they post an award letter and send you the login details) and then you can either accept it or refuse it. I dunno if NYU was one of the schools that required a tax return sent directly to the school? But they havent asked me for one..
