Congrats! I too am awaiting a decision....

barbaraeliz,
Congratulations.
What are your numbers?

So I've been in review since 1/26 after going complete on 11/9. My status date has changed twice since then to 1/27 and 2/7. I feel a decision is forthcoming.

UR since 1/27....pacing by day and lying awake by night....yea I know it's a little dramatic but I just have to know ASAP.. I can't wait to find out. I need this answer to make my decision about other schools (as I imagine many of you do as well)

My status suddenly went from it's normal 'in review' to 'in review' but to today's date. Confusing.

That's weird. That's what NYC Kid posted. Mine hasn't changed at all since going UR. I went to open house on 1/28 and an admissions counselor told me she would be getting my file the following week. I've been hanging on pins and needles ever since.

Just got waitlisted. I knew that was going to happen. Damn you 152 LSAT. Anyways, I'm prepared to ride the waitlist to the bitter end.

I'm sorry, that stinks. Start pulling your resources then. Do you know anyone who could put in a good word for you? Alumni or anything?

Thanks. I don't know any alumni, but I'm going to draft an LOCI this week. If I find myself waiting past April I'm going to update my graduate transcript and retake the June LSAT. Hopefully, it doesn't get that far though.

I.am still pending at Buffalo but would not be surprised to also be waitlisted.
A couple of quick questions:
Does anyone know whether Buffalo's applications are up or down this year?
Has Buffalo gone to its waitlist in past years?
Also what does the abbreviation "LOCI" mean?
Thanks.
Ps good luck to poster "NYC Kid. Stay focused.

Thanks paradox. To answer your question "LOCI" means Letter of Continued Interest, usually drafted when one gets waitlisted.

To speculate, I'm guessing that while most law schools are seeing a decrease in applicants because of the economy, state school applications might be seeing a slight increase because of the cheaper in-state tuition. I think that's why I got dinged at UConn. Of course this is all speculation.

In at Buffalo! Must have happened a few days ago, I haven't checked since last Friday. Status checker says the decision letter was mailed 2/14. I'm still going to Suffolk, though. Just too in love with Boston to leave.

I'll be likely withdrawing from Buffalo soon too... I feel the same way about NYC.
