Anyone else on here riding the waitlist? I don't see any movement here or LSN. Just wondering.

The law school as a whole: I'd say (based on a completely unscientific survey of my classmates) that we'll probably graduate with fewer than half of us having jobs. Probably 9 months out, maybe 2/3 of us will be doing something JD required. Just a guess, though.

A few thoughts, for what it's worth:patrickd139 wrote:Me personally: no.imbored25 wrote:any new updates on the employment outlook bropatrickd139 wrote:I'll be there. (Because I have to.imbored25 wrote:is anyone going to the moot court thing friday)

Anecdotal, but my friend's firm hired all their 3L interns for next year (I think there were 3-4) and are also adding a few laterals. Also, as far as geographic mobility goes, I know its rare but I know of at least one person summering with Biglaw in Philadelphia and someone summering in Dallas with no ties to the Dallas market.
And while this is a generalization, I'd say that a lot of the people not graduating with jobs are NOT the same people stalking "how to rock law school" message boards before they are even admitted. I know people about to start their 3L year who still haven't done a single internship, which means that they don't have any experience or recommendations or potential to move into a job opening with their employer. This won't be you, because you'll obviously get out there and hustle and do internships, even if you have to work for free to get all those benefits down the road.
Also, someone said it a few pages back, but the career services office was completely overhauled and I think it's going to make a big difference in the next few years. Just my .02.

Haven't decided yet. Waiting on June LSAT. but OU offered me relatively little compared to others.Oklahoma2014 wrote:Looks like you passed on a descent scholarship. Where did you decide to attend?Mr.Binks wrote:Hey all,
