We're trading off. He's supporting me now, and then I have to pay the rent/ etc while he goes back for his MBA. We don't want to do it all at once because we are scared to both be acquiring debt at the same time lol

Where is your SO going back to school? Are they applying to all the schools you are applying for?

Pretty close. She's applied to schools within an hour drive of CU, Iowa, and Minnesota. Nothing near WUSTL though.

I would say that if you're below both medians not to count on much. If you have excellent softs you might get offered something like 5k, but I seriously wouldn't count on it.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I've decided to take the LSAT again in February. This time I'm using PowerScore instead of Kaplan. Hopefully a 160 will get me something.

I'm sorry you ever used Kaplan in the first place, but I am excited that you've discovered PowerScore. Trust me, your score will go up if you use the PowerScore Bibles and take a lot of practice tests. PS is an excellent resource. A 160 would probably get you some $$. I was 162/3.8 and got 25k/yr from Denver.

You know out of every school I applied to DU has offered me the most money. Im really leaning towards them now. Iam well above Hofstra's numbers and they only offered me 15K per year.

I looked on rent.com and it didn't look like Denver was that expensive (cheaper than where I am now anyway, Austin, TX). Random: Anyone from Texas want to carpool up to admitted students day...?

My first reaction is that you must be messing with me, as I purchased a home in Austin about six months ago. Not sure how you would be privy to that though.

Reverse splitters are hard to predict. It's good you got your application in back in November. My guess is they will admit you to even out a traditional splitter (like me) that they let in

I would guess you'd be waitlisted. A 153 is pretty low for Denver and a 3.7 isn't a 4.0. Just being honest. I think that if you get waitlisted you should send a letter of continued interest and you'd probably get off the waitlist.

Hi! Just joining this forum!

I got accepted in December with $$$, and am very excited at the possibility of going there. If I get into CU this month, I will have a really hard decision to make (if I decide a definite on the state of Colorado)!

Are a lot of you trying to decide between the two schools? Is there a VERY big advantage to actually being located in Denver?
