You're lucky though... Unfortunately, my SO is ALSO going back to school this fall, so the debt between the two of us is going to be pretty crazy...

We're trading off. He's supporting me now, and then I have to pay the rent/ etc while he goes back for his MBA. We don't want to do it all at once because we are scared to both be acquiring debt at the same time lolchrisbru wrote:Barbie wrote:

Where is your SO going back to school? Are they applying to all the schools you are applying for?chrisbru wrote:Barbie wrote:

I would say that if you're below both medians not to count on much. If you have excellent softs you might get offered something like 5k, but I seriously wouldn't count on it.jer.smith83 wrote:Any thoughts of acceptance scholarship money with a 153/3.41?
Thank you for your honest feedback. I've decided to take the LSAT again in February. This time I'm using PowerScore instead of Kaplan. Hopefully a 160 will get me something.jayman6 wrote:I would say that if you're below both medians not to count on much. I'm sorry you ever used Kaplan in the first place, but I am excited that you've discovered PowerScore. Trust me, your score will go up if you use the PowerScore Bibles and take a lot of practice tests. PS is an excellent resource. A 160 would probably get you some $$. I was 162/3.8 and got 25k/yr from Denver.jer.smith83 wrote:Thank you for your honest feedback. I've decided to take the LSAT again in February. This time I'm using PowerScore instead of Kaplan. I looked on rent.com and it didn't look like Denver was that expensive (cheaper than where I am now anyway, Austin, TX). Random: Anyone from Texas want to carpool up to admitted students day...?Gatorbull84 wrote:You know out of every school I applied to DU has offered me the most money. Im really leaning towards them now. Iam well above Hofstra's numbers and they only offered me 15K per year.
Does anyone know how much apt's around school go for?
My first reaction is that you must be messing with me, as I purchased a home in Austin about six months ago. Not sure how you would be privy to that though.CanadianWolf wrote:A news story came out yesterday touting Austin, Texas as the top place in the US to buy a home citing a population of 800,000, a thriving high-tech industry & median home prices slightly under $120,000. Nevertheless, Denver & Austin are among the top places to live in the US for a variety of reasons, but offer very different climates.

Reverse splitters are hard to predict. It's good you got your application in back in November. My guess is they will admit you to even out a traditional splitter (like me) that they let inkmr07d wrote:Hi! So I have taken the LSAT 2x and my highest score is a 153 BUT I have a 3.7..anyone know if I even stand a chance of getting into Denver? My status has been complete/ready for review since 11/23.. Thanks for the help!
I would guess you'd be waitlisted. A 153 is pretty low for Denver and a 3.7 isn't a 4.0. Just being honest. I think that if you get waitlisted you should send a letter of continued interest and you'd probably get off the waitlist.kmr07d wrote:Hi! I actually just submitted on 12/16. I haven't heard back either, just hopeful!kmr07d wrote:Thank you for the input! When did you submit? I submitted 11/11 and haven't heard anything so I am starting to worry.. By split, do you mean high in one category low in the other? I looked at your numbers (congrats on your LSAT!) and it seems that is what you mean but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks again!!!

If you haven't gotten the score that you wanted/are capable of getting, then it's definitely not bad to take it 3x! Good luck with the LSAT and DU!kmr07d wrote:allah6969 wrote:I would guess you'd be waitlisted. A 153 is pretty low for Denver and a 3.7 isn't a 4.0. Just being honest. Thank you, that is exactly what I am afriad ofI will definitely do the letter of continued interest. I am also thinking of taking the LSAT again in February.. I was PTing at around 160-162 and everytime I go in for the real test I just freeze up. Is it bad to take it 3 times?
