I just checked and I have the same. To me it sounds more like they are just holding us until they review more applications.Barbie wrote:I guess I was waitlistedMy status says "Preliminary Waitlist"
I'm afraid I don't know, but I'm guessing it's like being in reserve for a short period of time.Barbie wrote:Do you know if htere is a difference between regular and preliminary waitlist from the past cycles?JOThompson wrote:Ah, sorry to hear that. Now might be a good time to prepare a letter of continued interest. I know they accepted several people off the waitlist last year. In fact, one of my classmates was prepared to attend a T3 before she got admitted in the summer.Barbie wrote:I guess I was waitlistedMy status says "Preliminary Waitlist"
Sorry to hear about the waitlisted applicants. I also just checked my status, still Under review as of 10/19.Amir N wrote:Sorry to all those who are waitlisted. I just checked my ISIS and the other status checker and there has been no movement...

I'm going to call Monday and see what this actually means. I'm also going to ask if we can send in more information...charlesxavier wrote:I just checked and I have the same. Yeah, we found out just in time to have to wait through the weekend. Did you get an email saying your status was updated? I didn't and ISIS still says in progress, so I'm thinking that it's just a hold until they decide what to do with us.Barbie wrote:I'm going to call Monday and see what this actually means. I doubt it updates to anything for "preliminary waitlists" though hahaSlimpee wrote:FWIW, last year ISIS wasn't updated for a while after I was accepted...
I am sorry to hear that...still nothing to frame.Barbie wrote:I guess I was waitlistedMy status says "Preliminary Waitlist"

Still quiet. I think it's still early for status checkers to change. I think people were mentioning status updates between 4-6 pm. correct me if i'm wrongBarbie wrote:Darn, forgot to call on my break. I'll call at lunch. Has anyone else's status checkers changed?
good information; thanks. when did you applied, and how to you fit into their 75/25 lsat & gps stats?Barbie wrote:Okay I called! A "preliminary waitlist" is different from a normal waitlist because preliminary waitlists could be accepted anytime between now and March 1st. A normal waitlist wouldn't get their decision until after March 1st. So... there ya go !

I'm just below the 25th GPA but very close to the 75th LSAT (a bit above median).lawschoolbound010 wrote:good information; thanks. when did you applied, and how to you fit into their 75/25 lsat & gps stats?Barbie wrote:Okay I called! I got "preliminary waitlisted". I applied on September 3rd. My LSAT is at the median and my GPA is right in between the median and 75th. But, I am out of state and that has an impact on their decisions.lawschoolbound010 wrote:good information; thanks. when did you applied, and how to you fit into their 75/25 lsat & gps stats?
I haven't heard previously that out of state matters? I'm OOS also.charlesxavier wrote:I got "preliminary waitlisted". I applied on September 3rd. Hey all, i was just gonna start a thread about this. Just saw the "Decision Rendered" on my status. No contact though. I really hope I got in!!!vegenator wrote:Ok, so now my status checker reads:
Current Status: Complete
Current Status Date: 11/23/2010
Decision Status: Decision Rendered
Decision Status Date: 11/22/2010
It updated even though decision was supposedly rendered? (ISIS still says "in progress," no email, no phone call, no snail mail.... so strange...).
Anyone else have "decision rendered"
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
