Thanks - good luck! I may sit out the cycle anyway and probably retake in Feb/June of next year (messed up a section which otherwise would have landed me a 170). If I get in this time I'll definitely go to ASW because my retake will mainly be for $$$.bergg007 wrote:
according to the official guide you have about a 60% chance. I'd say that with a retake and a higher score you'd be a shoo-in but as it stands, I think that you and i both will get wait listed and then eventually accepted (you likely before me because high GPA sometimes trumps high lsat late in the cycle). good luck maybe i'll see you next year

If you have a low GPA UGA probabllyyyy isnt going to be interested unless you can bring up their LSATs by a few points. 164 is a cutoff even for good numbers.Barbie wrote:bergg007 wrote:according to the official guide you have about a 60% chance. Are the numbers in your profile correct??? UGA will almost surely not accept a 2.9 GPA unless you have a REALLY high LSAT.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
Yeah I know. The funny thing about my cycle is I think that I won't get offered money at even my safeties because my GPA blows, but I think I'll get in to a wide range of schools late or off the waitlist that are looking for an above the 75% LSAT. According to past cycles I've got a good chance at georgia, but there are always people in my range who get rejected, so it's all just guess work at this point.Sandro777 wrote:167/2.9 puts you at a good chance. Nothing to feel super confident about but all you can really ask for is a shot. Hopefully I come out with 167+ dec 11th

I'm kind of surprised there haven't been any acceptances issued.

I think their office must be pretty slow, or it feels that way relative to other offices. I just went under review on Tuesday, though, so hopefully they're picking up speed!Barbie wrote:I'm kind of surprised there haven't been any acceptances issued.

From the UGA website:
"My Application Status

Nice to see movement!

Good luck, y'all.
UGA is pretty slow, so try not to let checking your status ruin the holidays.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
It took them forever to send me an email. I'm not even sure I got an email until after I had been accepted. In case you don't know, you can sign up for the status checker without them. When you make an account on the UGA law website, it asks for your LSAC number and gives you a status checker.jim wrote:Sent on 11/9, haven't even received an email.

Applied 11/8, went under review a few days later, have been under review since. In state, good WE, loads of volunteer work and I'm a nice guy...
I got waitlisted last year with a 162, and am trying this year with a 165 (would have gotten a 170 f I hadn't bombed RC in Oct.) Good luck to all! I'm hoping to hear back before christmas!

I also would've gotten a higher score if I hadn't missed so many questions...

They're probably still trying to figure out why on earth I would waste the $12 to apply with my #s hahaegeffin wrote:Does anybody know when we are supposed to hear back? Id really like to go to this school

By the way, I'm watching the game right now. My dad is a GA Tech alum so this is hard to watch.

UGA is one of my tops, would love to hear back soon. LSN says decisions were coming back as soon as Nov 9th, so I'm sure we'll be getting the news soon

Lets all hope so. everyone benefits from a less competitive year. I get into a higher ranked school, Other people get more money. school might drop in rank though... But I might get in!!!Barbie wrote:I have SOME faith-- I applied didn't IZachOda wrote:Barbie, have a little faithBarbie wrote:They're probably still trying to figure out why on earth I would waste the $12 to apply with my #s hahaegeffin wrote:Does anybody know when we are supposed to hear back? UGA sent out acceptances way earlier last year. I wonder what the hold up is? Maybe they are struggling to assess the applicants of this year and establish whether they can maintain the 164 wall, etc. From my responses thus far this year I think that the applications this year are slightly less competitive than last, so hopefully that will help us all out
