Do people think a 176 could outweigh a below 25% GPA (3.61) at Berk?
Definitely, though your grade trend for that 3.61 will be important.

You should also be gunning for CLS, NYU, and Chicago...

I don't think you should be too worried about checking your status - I believe all pre-faculty review admits get calls before their status checker changes. Not sure about the FR admits, though. :)

Took four days for me to get my status checker.

Looks like they're reviewing the complete 10/14 batch today.

For what it's worth, the first batches of acceptances on TLS went out around November 9th last year.

Considering they probably give you an hour tops, it's funny. Chicago's 3+ months of review is the most ridiculous though.

Same deal..my status checker went 'under review' last night, but I got that e-mail at (I think) literally the same time.

Went under review 10/18! Didn't even get a status checker email or a "complete" email before I got the "under review" email. In fact, got my status checker login info after I got the "under review" email. I submitted 10/15.

Berkeley is quick.
