i haven't heard from them at all since submitting. was getting a little worried, but i'll just let it be if it's normal. i hope i receive a decision in 18 days!! that'd be awesome. i just want to get this cycle over with and know where i'm going to be!

Where did you get the idea of 18 days? My impression was that first decisions for ED didn't usually come out until December 1 or so.

Just to share my craziness with others, PM me if you want a spreadsheet I made about when people submitted last year in OCTOBER ONLY and when they got results (it's for RD because...I'm RD and lazy).

quick summary: If you submitted in October, expect to hear back in early December if you got in (like the 1st -9th), though there are some random mid-to-late results. You hear back in January or later for rejections, and April for WL.

ETA: it's all info found on LSN, just organized a bit differently

The turn around time was the shortest of all the schools I applied to last year. A full 18 days between LSAC submission and the decision!!

That's where that idea came from..but he applied in December.

Wanted to ask if folks know the best way to update our contact information with admissions office. Getting a new cell phone number and want to make sure they have the right one in my file. Should I call or email? I hate bugging them like this...

Also, any other EDs totally angsting at this point? It's going to be a long two months. *Sigh*

I did ED to NYU and submitted last weekend. However, I'm expecting a rejection, waitlist at very best. My LSAT is kind of low for them, but everything else in my application is strong. Here's to hoping I'll still do well in the application process there... would love to go to school there!

Not that I'm complaining or anything, but I just sent my app to NYU RD and had a fee waiver for it that I had no clue about. No emails or anything. When did they start sending waivers?

This week. Hidden fee waivers happen all the time.

I applied ED and am starting to think I'll be home for the holidays when decisions are rendered and considering my mailing address is up at school, I'm started to get worried I'll have to wait until I go back after New Years to find out my fate. I think NYU mails their decisions. I'm having my school forward all my mail to my home address over winter break. If your school can do that, I would def. recommend that.
